Alex Gonzaga and rapper Matthaios reveal new music video collab

The collaboration between Alex Gonzaga and Matthaios is finally out!

The music video was unveiled on OPPO's Facebook page last Saturday, June 27. The post featured the TV host-blogger and the rapper encouraging viewers to bust a move like no one's looking and to #LiveAllOut.

“Nakaka-LSS talaga yung bagong kanta for #OPPOA92 meron pang pa-rap,” Alex teased in a tweet prior to the big announcement.

Matthaios, in response, called it a collaboration where “South meets East”— referring to their hometowns.

An unlikely team-up

Fans of both parties started buzzing when Matthaios, the rapper behind the viral hit “Catriona,” posted a tweet mentioning Alex’s song “AMFEE” in early June.

It resulted in an online rap battle, with the artists trading barbs and firing off rap verses in a series of video clips posted on Twitter throughout the course of several days, intriguing netizens.

To the relief and surprise of their fans, Alex and Matthaios were actually setting the stage for their would-be collaboration.
