What would Ai-Ai Delas Alas look like as a member of Blackpink?
A sketch of the comedienne’s face with the ox horns hairstyle of Blackpink member Lisa Manoban went viral on social media yesterday, November 4.
The artwork was done by 28-year-old Bicolano sketch artist Jomar “Jom’z” Arena, who shared his Ai-Ai artwork in the public Facebook group Mga Kaguhit.
He captioned the post (published as is), “ibang member ata nadrawing ko”
At press time, the post has 2.4k reactions and 1.1k shares on Facebook.
Ai-Ai has seen it, and says in her hashtag that it has ignited her dream of becoming the fifth member or "unnie" (which literally means "older sister") of the famous all-girl South Korean group.

In an exchange of messages via Instagram, Jomar told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that aside from having a crush on Lisa, he was inspired to create the sketch after seeing Ai-Ai’s performance of Blackpink's “Ice Cream.”
The performance was featured on GMA-7's The Clash last October 31, and it also went viral on social media.
He said, “Na-inspire ako noong video niya [Ai-Ai] na 'Ice Cream' na nakita then, parang naisipan ko si Lisa i-drawing since crush ko siya.”
Jomar admitted that he is not a K-Pop fan, but he just likes Lisa so much and, at the same time, he was entertained by Ai-Ai’s performances.
“Actually, hindi ako fan ng K-Pop, sorry sa mga mati-trigger or maiinis. Hahaha!
“Pero seeing her performance, as always, it's so entertaining.”
THE ARTIST
Even before his Ai-Ai sketch went viral online, Jomar had been proudly posting his artworks on his Instagram account @jomz_artz.
These artworks are mostly portrait sketches of his friends or of anime characters.
How did his passion for art and sketching start?
“Nag-start iyong passion ko sa art simula pa noong bata pa ako dahil na din sa hilig ko sa anime.”
Without disclosing much about his struggles, Jomar said that sketching and art has helped him cope with these trying times.
Jomar currently works in a BPO company. At the same time, he also accepts commission work to help him fend for his needs and to save.
Aside from his Instagram account, he also uploads some of his sketches on his new channel on YouTube.
One of Jomar's videos shows how he created an anime sketch of ABS-CBN actress and YouTuber Ivana Alawi.

Jomar also wants to do more artwork of celebrities, like Coco Martin, and Xander Ford, for fun and entertainment.
The Bicolano artist reveals that part of the reason he created the Ai-Ai-Lisa sketch was to lift the spirits of people who were affected by typhoon Rolly.
Now that Jomar's sketch has gone viral, he wants to take this opportunity to ask concerned individuals to help his fellow Bicolanos, who were greatly affected by the typhoon.
He said, “Ito lang iyong alam kong way sa ngayon para makatulong.”
