Viu's new rom-com series K-Love celebrates Filipinos and their love for K-Drama

Have you binged all the big K-Dramas people are talking about? Paulit-ulit mo na bang pinapanood ang mga favorite mo? K-Love is the latest rom-com Viu Original, and it’s about a group of Filipino K-Drama fans whose lives are starting to look a lot like the shows they binge-watch.

Iza Calzado plays Tish, a career-driven woman who struggles in the romantic department. She’s crazy about K-Dramas and hopes to finally have a Number One Oppa in her life. The kilig starts when wealthy COO (Child Of Owner) Jay, played by Jake Cuenca, comes back to her life—as they happen to be childhood sweethearts!

Of course, no K-Drama FL is complete without her cast of supportive friends. First in her heart is BFF Shiela, played by Isabelle Daza. Shiela’s a perfectionist momfluencer who misses the more carefree days of her youth, but will drop everything for her bestie. Sue Ramirez stars as Val, a fashionista entrepreneur setting her sights on carving out a space for women in the male-dominated tech industry. Things get more interesting when she finds out that her weekend fling is their company's new hire. Now, that's a pair—and a love story—fans will gush over. Rounding out the barkada is Gabby Padilla’s Frances, a quirky young romantic who’s holding out for her perfect match: someone just like the leads of her favorite K-Dramas.

Tish, Shiela, Val, and Frances find the inspiration to live their best lives through K-Dramas, and a lot of the fun in watching K-Love comes from seeing people just like us live out their K-Fantasies. Think about it—how many of us have learned how to cook Korean food just because of our favorite shows? Ganun din sina Tish, so it’ll be just like watching ourselves on Viu—with heaping amounts of kilig!
