Krizia Cortez, PlayTime's Director of Public Relations, explained the strategic vision behind this collaboration, stating, "PlayTime is an online entertainment platform, however, we don’t want to confine ourselves to the online gaming space."

She elaborated, "If you notice even with our name PlayTime—we want to be synonymous with everything about 'play', everything about entertainment."

This expansive vision aligns perfectly with PlayTime’s mission: to bring out the best in every athlete through their inspiring PlayTime CARES initiative, focusing on Character, Ambition, Respect, Excellence, and Sportsmanship.

Cortez continued, "We don't want to be purely known as a player in online gaming. We are more than that. We're entering different partnerships from pageants, concerts, film, and television—all related to reiterating our direction of revolutionizing entertainment. That includes sports."

She emphasizes, "Through our social responsibility arm, PlayTime CARES, this partnership with FilOil is an alignment of vision for Filipino sports, allowing us to broaden our reach in supporting the next generation of athletes: opening doors to opportunities, providing resources and a venue where they are able to grow their talents and reach their fullest potential. At the core is an unwavering and unrelenting pursuit of excellence that we hope to impart to our promising Filipino youth athletes."

The PlayTime FilOil Centre is more than just an arena; it's now redefined as the "home of champions." This hallowed ground is poised to host intense competition, breathtaking plays, and the raw passion that defines Filipino collegiate sports. Diana Layug, General Manager of PlayTime FilOil Centre, perfectly articulates this sentiment: “We want every athlete to feel like a champion the moment they step into the new PlayTime FilOil Centre. Whether they win or lose a game, they’re in a venue that celebrates being a champion, hard work, passion, and growth."

The stage is set for a preseason tournament that promises to be nothing short of spectacular, where future stars will hone their skills and teams will lay the foundation for championship runs.

Mandy Ochoa, AVP of Supply Sale, FilOil Logistics Corp., also highlighted the direct benefits of the partnership for the participating athletes.

He states that "the athletes will have more opportunities to be exposed, to be seen, their skills, their talent, not only inside the arena, but through online, televised games."

Ochoa underscores the critical support this partnership brings, recognizing the challenges of organizing such events. "You know how hard it is to operate the sports events, and the partnership with PlayTime and its support will give additional resources so that we’re able to showcase the talents of our collegiate players, whether it’s basketball or volleyball."

He adds, "The important thing there is we focus on the core values, which is uplifting education, sportsmanship, [and] health”.

Day 1 of the PlayTime CARES FilOil EcoOil Preseason Cup was a vibrant spectacle, setting the tone for an unforgettable season.

As the PlayTime FilOil EcoOil Preseason Cup officially kicks off at the PlayTime FilOil Centre, the vision for its young athletes is clear. Cortez beautifully encapsulates this ambition: "We want them to remember that being a champion in every field that they enter, especially in sports, they always have to have a purpose. Not just winning, but also to inspire, to elevate their fellow athletes, and also to remember that the Filipino talent in sports is something that they should be proud of and they should champion."
