LONDON 2012 Olympics—Filipino archers Mark Javier and Rachel Cabral got off to a low start in their individual events, both ending up in the lower half of the ranking stage. Dumaguete City‘s Mark Javier is a veteran of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, but his experience did not help him enough at the Lord’s Cricket Grounds, where he ranked 55 out of 64 archers, with his total of 649 points in the preliminaries. Cagayan-born Rachel Cabral made better progress in her event, landing in 48th out of 64 spots, with her total of 627 points.
