ER Ejercito was chosen as Best Actor for the Metro Manila Film Fest entry Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story. Angelica Panganiban was named Best Supporting Actress for Segunda Mano while Baron Geisler won the Best Supporting Actor trophy for Manila Kingpin. Xyriel Manabat earned the Best Child Actress plum for A Mother‘s Story while Buboy Villar won the Best Child Actor award for Ang Panday 2. Manila Kingpin was chosen as the Best Film by the Film Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences.
