Willie Revillame personally called Joey de Leon to inform him that his show, Wowowillie, will be competing directly with Eat Bulaga. In 2007, Willie and Joey had a word war stemming from the alleged cheating on Willie‘s former ABS-CBN noontime show, Wowowee. Willie recalls telling Joey two weeks ago, "Pare, just to tell you, magnu noontime na ako. Eh, I just want to give respect to the Eat Bulaga family and eto na naman, magkaka tapat tayo. Respected ko naman si Joey. Sinabi niya sa akin ito, ‘Malay mo someday magkasama rin tayo.‘" In a separate interview, Willie admitted that he is open to the possibility of doing a movie with Joey de Leon in the future.
