Nagsara ang mga sinehan sa Greenhills Shopping Center sa San Juan City noong March 2, Lunes, dahil sa hostage-taking incident sa Bridgeway Shops.
Ngayong Biyernes ng hapon, March 6, muling naapektuhan ang mga sinehan sa Greenhills Shopping Center.
Sinabi ng isang empleyado ng Greenhills Cinema, na nakausap ng Cabinet Files sa telepono ngayong 3 p.m., biglang nabawasan ang bilang ng mga manonood sa kanilang sinehan.
Dahil daw ito sa balitang isang 62-year-old male na madalas pumunta sa Muslim prayer hall sa Greenhills ang kumpirmadong biktima ng coronavirus o COVID-19.
Sa mga hindi pamilyar sa Muslim Prayer Hall, nasa pagitan ito ng VMall at ng building na kinaroroonan ng UniMart Supermarket.
"Ngayon lang po namin nalaman ang balita, kaya pala naging kaunti ang mga nanonood ng sine," sabi ng female employee ng Greenhills Cinema na nakausap ng Cabinet Files.
Marahil ay umiral ang pangamba sa mga tao nang malaman nilang frequent visitor sa Muslim Prayer Hall sa Greenhills ang biktima, kaya iniiwasan muna nilang magawi sa lugar.
Sa official statement ng Department of Health ngayong araw, nakasaad na ang 62-year-old male ang "5th confirmed case" ng COVID-19 sa bansa.
Mayroon daw itong history ng hypertension at diabetes mellitus. Nagsimula raw ang sintomas na may COVID-19 ito nang inubo ito na may kasamang plema noong February 25.
Na-confine ito sa isang ospital sa Metro Manila noong March 1, at napag-alamang meron itong pneumonia.
March 5 nang makumpirmang dinapuan ito ng COVID-19.
MAYOR ZAMORA'S INSPECTION AT GREENHILLS
Nang lumabas ang ulat mula sa DOH, pinuntahan ni San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora ang shopping complex ngayong hapon para tingnan ang sitwasyon.
May suot na face mask si Zamora at ang mga opisyal ng San Juan City na kasama niya habang iniinspeksyon nila ang paligid.
Nakasuot na rin ng face mask ang mga tenant, security guards, at ang Greenhills shoppers bilang pag-iingat sa banta ng COVID-19.
Payo ng DOH, "Previous visitors to the prayer hall who are presenting with fever and/or respiratory symptoms are encouraged to call the DOH hotline (028-651-7800 loc 1149-1150 for proper referral to the appropriate health facility."
SAN JUAN HOSPITAL'S PUBLIC ADVISORY
May hiwalay namang public advisory ang Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC), isang ospital sa San Juan City, tungkol sa inalagaan nilang "male patient" na kumpirmadong dinapuan ng COVID-19.
Tila ito ang sinasabing 62-year-old male na madalas magtungo sa Greenhills Muslim Prayer Hall.
Mula sa CSMC ay nailipat na raw ang pasyente sa Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) sa Muntinlupa City para mas maalagaan ito ng mga eksperto.
"Cardinal Santos Medical Center took care of a male patient who had no history of travels or contact with those who travelled to the countries enumerated to have experienced positive COVID-19.
"He tested positive for COVID-19 given continued presence of symptoms.
"For best care, in coordination with the Department of Health, the patient was transferred to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM)."
Siniguro ng CSMC na sasailalim sa protocol ng DOH ang lahat ng nagkaroon ng contact sa nasabing pasyente.
"CSMC has taken all the precautionary measures that all those who had contact with the patients would be dealt with following the protocols of DOH on quarantine, monitoring and observation.
"So far, all those who have had contact with the patient has no symptoms.
"We assure the general public that the healthcare of our patients and employees are our primordial concern.
"We are committed to take care of them and adhere to the highest standards of infection management considering the DOH guidelines and protocols.”
ANOTHER CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASE
Sa pagpapatuloy ng official statement ng DOH, nakasaad na ang "fourth confirmed case" ng COVID-19 sa bansa ay isang 48-year-old male Filipino na may travel history sa Japan.
Bumalik daw ang pasyente sa bansa noong February 25, at nakaranas ng "chills" at "fever" mula noong March 3.
Nang kumonsulta ito sa doktor, lumabas sa resulta ng medical test nito na positibo ito ng COVID-19 noong March 5.
Sa kasalukuyan ay "stable" na raw ang pasyente na naka-confine sa Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) sa Muntinlupa City.
Dagdag ng DOH, "Contact tracing is being done for the two cases and samples have already been collected from close contacts.
"DOH is also in close coordination with the concerned Local Government Units for concerted action on identifying persons who had interaction with the confirmed cases and strengthening of infection prevention and control protocols."
