Dahil sa COVID-19 threat, concert nakansela; shopping center, nagmistulang ghost town

Dahil sa mga balita tungkol sa mga kababayan natin na positibo sa COVID-19 , kanselado ang KilaboTitos concert nina Ogie Alcasid at Ian Veneracion.

Mangyayari sana ito sa New Frontier Theater on March 20 and 21.

Mismong si Ogie ang nag-post sa kanyang Facebook page ng official statement tungkol sa cancellation ng KilaboTitos, ang paghingi nila ng paumanhin, at ang advisory na abangan ang announcement tungkol sa bagong petsa ng kanilang concert.

Malaki ang epekto sa mga sinehan at ibang mga negosyo ang balita na nag-positibo sa COVID-19 ang 62-year-old male na madalas na nagpupunta sa Muslim prayer hall sa Greenhills Shopping Center, San Juan City.

Nang kumpirmahin kahapon ng Department of Health na totoo ang balita, nagmistulang ghost town ang Greenhills Shopping Center. Dahil natakot ang mga tao na pumunta sa naturang lugar, humina rin ang mga sinehan, ayon sa theatre employees na nakausap ng Cabinet Files.

Ngayong araw, March 7, mahina pa rin ang mga negosyo sa Greenhills at konti ang bilang ng mga nanonood ng sine dahil nakadagdag sa pangamba ng publiko ang kumpirmasyon ng Department of Health na positibo na rin sa COVID-19 ang asawa ng 62-year-old male patient.

Greenhills Shopping Center

Naglabas naman ng public statement ang management ng St. Luke’s Medical Center sa Bonifacio Global City tungkol sa 4th victim ng COVID-19 na naging pasyente nila.

“St. Luke’s Medical Center –Global City was able to identify, isolate,and screen a patient at the isolation room located outside the emergency wing who turned out positive for COVID-19.

"The Department of Health facilitated the transfer and admission of this patient to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine ( RITM).

"Fortunately, the patient was identified right away and exposure was limited as he did not enter the main hospital premises and main emergency room.

"The hospital has always been equipped to handle and contain such cases. We have taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety and care of all our patients and healthcare workers following a protocol set by our infectious disease specialists."

Meanwhile, nagdeklara ang Navotas City ng class suspension sa lahat ng antas sa Lunes, March 9, bilang precautionary measure laban sa posibleng pagkalat ng COVID-19.

Suspendido rin ang klase sa Cainta, Rizal until March 10.
