Kumakalat sa Internet ang video ni Iza Calzado habang may suot siyang oxygen mask at pinupunasan ng nurse ang kanyang buhok.
May caption ang video na, "Look: Iza Calzado’s situation prior to the confirmation of her COVID-19 test results.”
Mapapanood sa video na tinutulungan si Iza ng assigned nurse para maging malinis ang buhok niya. Habang pinupunasan ng nurse ang kanyang buhok, at kahit medyo hirap sa pagsasalita, nagkukuwento si Iza tungkol sa mga karanasan niya.
"I slept well last night for the first time. Decent, not the best, but I cannot complain. That’s the best right now," ang sabi ni Iza na tuwang-tuwa at lubos ang pasasalamat sa kanyang nurse dahil ito ang nag-alok na i-braid at i-shampoo ang buhok niya bilang hindi siya makapunta sa banyo.
"Now I feel like a human being.Thank you Lord, thank you nurse Roxy. What little things and joyful things in life can make you complete. You don’t really need a lot of material things to be able to do these things,” ang medyo hirap sa pagsasalita pero masaya na lahad ni Iza.
Apparently, unauthorized ang Internet uploading ng video dahil sa reaksiyon ni Noel Ferrer, ang manager ni Iza.
Ang alisin o burahin ang video ang pakiusap ni Noel, na iginiit na tila pinalalabas na ang kasalukuyang kalagayan ni Iza ang mapapanood sa video na pinagpasa-pasahan na ng maraming tao.
Narito ang opisyal na pahayag ni Ferrer:
"I knew Iza is coping very well because of her display of good disposition. She said, (even in jest), "Nasa akin ang corona"—while really wanting to share her learnings and realizations as she is continuously batting with the virus.
"For the first time last night, she said, she slept well and is about to complete her cycle of antibiotics. She is ok, and she is thankful to everyone who has been attending to her and who has sent their messages of concern and love.
"She is better now than a few days ago when she sent a personal video to update friends and family about her condition.
"Unfortunately—an old video has been carelessly circulated online passing it off as Iza’s present state.
"There’s a lesson to be learned here—GOOD SENSE. Sound judgment dictates that one should be able to discern what is personal from what is for public consumption."
Malaki ang posibilidad na ang unang pinanggalingan ng naturang video ay sa isa sa mga taong pinagkatiwalaan ni Iza nito. At nanawagan si Ferrer na huwag nang ipakalat ito.
"(Please take those videos down, they are not yours and you don’t have permission!)"
Ang apela pa ni Ferrer sa mga nagkakalat ng video: "Let us always be PRUDENT and try to base all our decisions and actions on what will sow hope and care which we all so need at this time.
