"That’s my boy!!!" ang may pagmamalaki na reaksiyon ni Edu Manzano sa live video ng solo protest ng kanyang anak na si Enzo sa harap ng United Nations Headquarters sa New York City noong June 18, 2020.

Hawak ni Enzo ang placards na may nakasulat na "Duterte & The Philippine Government Are Taking Away My People’s Basic Rights!” at “ Filipinos Can’t Protest So I Hope The World Can See Us instead!”

Ang Facebook post ni Enzo tungkol sa aksiyon na ginawa niya, "Today, I chose to stand outside the United Nations HQ for 3 hours (I have a recorded live video, on my timeline, showing the second half).

"ALSO, it only makes me more angry whenever news of our government comes out in the Philippines. The feeling of being useless doesn’t help either—whether it’s because I’m in New York or the government keeps coming up with ways to silence us back home.

"I was never the type to protest but at this point with all that the Philippine government is doing, it’s either you’re fighting to keep your country alive or not.

"Sucks to hear that my fellow Filipinos can’t protest back home.. I hope my lone protest can make up for that. At least a little bit!”

Napukaw ng binata ang atensiyon ng New York-based Canadian-American magazine website na Vice.com.

Sa panayam ni Enzo sa nasabing online publication, aniya, “It’s becoming a country that I didn’t grow up in. It's starting to feel so foreign to me."

Ngayong umaga, Sabado (Friday, June 19 sa New York), tumambay at nagdaos naman si Enzo ng solo protest sa harap ng building ng Philippine Consulate General sa New York.

Mababasa sa placard na hawak ni Enzo ang panawagan nito na "The Philippine Government Is Destroying My Country’s Democracy! Hear Us Now Before It’s Too Late!”
