Kabilang ang Filipino international film director na si Maria Diane Ventura sa mga kinilala sa Director’s category ng 5th Film Ambassador’s Night ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
Ito ay dahil sa mga parangal na tinanggap ng kanyang pelikulang Deine Farbe (Your Color) mula sa iba’t ibang international film festivals.
Ang Best Woman Filmmaker at Best Feature sa Vegas Film Awards sa USA; best director sa Calella Film Festival sa Spain; International Feature Debut, Diorama sa New Delhi, India; at Best Cinematography and Best Feature sa Canadian Cinematography Awards ang ilan sa maraming awards na natanggap ni Ventura at ng Deine Fabre.
Kasabay ng pagkilala ng FDCP sa talento ni Ventura bilang filmmaker ang worldwide streaming sa Amazon Prime ng kanyang multi-awarded European debut film na umaani ng mga positive feedback mula sa manonood.

Ayon kay Ventura, isinulat niya ang kuwento ng Deine Farbe bilang repleksyon ng sarili at pakiramdam nang umalis siya sa kanyang comfort zone, ang Pilipinas.
“As an immigrant myself, who moved to New York to find a better future for my family and at the same time immerse and acclimate to a new culture and environment, I started writing this film while I was still living in Manila dreaming of a better life thinking that, if I move away, all my problems and suffering would magically disappear.
“I wrote this film about two boys wanting to escape their small town only to find themselves with a different set of problems in the real world.”
Postscript: Ang established German actors na sina Jannik Schümann at Nyamandi Adrian ang lead actors ng Deine Farbe, na nanalo rin ng Best Ensemble Cast sa Couch Film Festival sa Toronto, Canada.
Co-producer si Schümann ng Deine Farbe at saludo siya kay Ventura.
Sabi niya tungkol sa Filipino drector, “The whole project is built on immense courage and a dash of craziness. A woman comes to Europe with her bestfriend as producer, and is just carrying a script in her luggage.
“She doesn’t know the German market at all but she entrusts herself to a casting director who is supposed to find her the right actors for her heart’s project in this foreign country.
“The greatest gift of this tumultuous shoot for me is my relationship with Diane. She is insanely inspiring and an incredibly loyal woman who would do anything for those around her.”
