Miss Quezon City Patricia Samantha Go on the announcement of Top 30 of Miss Universe Philippines 2020: “Sobrang nakaka-excite at nakakakaba. My anxiety levels are very high right now. I'm really an overthinker kasi! Nonetheless, I'm so excited to perform and showcase my true and authentic self to the Universe stage."

Pahayag niya, “Unfortunately, I was retrenched last October 2020. But being grounded made me feel… well, grounded!

"That was a hard time in my life but I took it as I try to take all hardships, with humility in accepting God’s plan for me.

“I believe I haven’t sacrificed anything. Honestly, there’s been so many blessings in this journey that have made me so grateful for every challenge that I’ve faced, and overcome.

“This is like a sign from God that whatever I struggle with right now, I can definitely manage my time and continue to fight in the Miss Universe Philippines journey.”

PATRICIA'S UNIQUE TRAIT

Saad niya, “Being a beauty queen has been a dream of mine since childhood. I even wrote that dream in my grade school yearbook!

“The story of why I started this journey actually starts from birth, when I was born I had a condition called gastroschisis and I had to undergo a surgery that left me without a belly button."

Pagpapatuloy niya, “Growing up, I felt that it was a flaw of mine but I still was so inspired by the flawless women on stage.

“I realized that I want to inspire children that you can reach your dreams and goals in life if you are committed and determined to do it, all the obstacles are just in your head and are waiting to be overcome!

“So the 'flaw' I had just made me even more unique and wasn’t going to hold me back.

"Yes, this is my first ever beauty pageant!” kuwento ng 25-year-old aspiring beauty queen.

Si Patricia ay may taas na 5’9". Communication Arts graduate siya ng Miriam College.

SUPPORT FROM QUEZON CITY

Aniya, “I am very thankful that I met Congressman Alfred Vargas. We were able to discuss a liitle bit about myself and my advocacy.

“I have been so grateful that everyone is giving me the love and support all throughout the journey, especially the Congressman and my fans who are his constituents! Simply by voting for me, it means a lot to me.

“My advocacy is children's health. I've been in that position because of the condition I was born with, and I struggled.

“But, it wasn’t a struggle I faced alone, because my parent’s struggled in feeling they could not help me.

“I would like to make sure we prioritize children’s health for their sake, and for the sake of their parents because it can affect the whole family.

“My main expectation would be that I would, in the words of the Miss Universe pillar, 'inspire transformation,' both within myself and in the people I met and will meet in this journey.

“Change is the one thing I truly treasure as I’ve continued on this path. With the intensive trainings that I get, I've already seen myself grow as a person through the way I think, act, and perceive everything. That is one of the few goals I had coming in to this pageant.”

“Sobrang nakaka-excite at nakakakaba. My anxiety levels are very high right now. I'm really an overthinker kasi!

"Nonetheless, I'm so excited to perform and showcase my true and authentic self to the Universe stage.”
