Si Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez kaya ang magiging ika-limang Pilipina na magsusuot ng Miss Universe crown sa coronation ng 70th Miss Universe?
Kung si University of San Jose-Recoletos President Reverend Fr. Cristopher Maspara ang tatanungin, malaki ang tsansa ni Bea na manalo sa 70th Miss Universe dahil sa kanyang obserbasyong suwerte ang Number 5 sa Cebuana beauty queen.
Nangyari ang homecoming ni Bea sa Cebu kahapon, November 2.
Ngayong Miyerkules, November 3, dumalaw ang beauty queen sa alma mater niya, ang University of San Jose-Recoletos, na nagbigay ng financial grant na P30,000 bilang suporta sa kanyang nalalapit na pagsali sa 70th Miss Universe.
Sa talumpati ni Fr. Christopher, pinasalamatan nito si Bea dahil sa karangalag inihatid ng dalaga sa kanilang unibersidad.
Sinabi rin ni Fr. Christopher ang napuna nito na masuwerte sa 26-year-old beauty queen ang Number 5.
“Before I end, I would just like to share what I’ve noticed as regards your journey to becoming Miss Universe Philippines 2021.
"Bea, you seem to be lucky for one particular number. You were candidate No. 15 when you were crowned Miss CESAFI [Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc].
“In 2015, you joined the Miss Mandaue pageant, your first major pageant where you placed 2nd runner-up.
“In 2020, you bagged the Binibining Cebu title.
"During the Miss Universe Philippines pageant proper, you were the last to be called among the ten finalists. You picked question No. 5.
"All these numbers are divisible by 5, right?
“You are lucky with the number 5. I believe you are capable of becoming the fifth Filipina to bring home the Miss Universe crown,” pahayag ni Fr. Christopher.
Napaiyak si Bea nang marinig nito ang mga binitawang salita ng presidente ng unibersidad na kanyang pinagmulan.
Kung magdidilang-anghel si Fr. Christopher, si Bea ang ika-limang Pilipina na mag-uuwi ng Miss Universe crown na napanalunan nina Gloria Diaz (1969), Margarita Moran (1973), Pia Wurtzbach (2015 ), at Catriona Gray (2018).
