Napaluha si Claudine Barreto nang marinig nito ang mga pahayag ni Mrs. Teresita Castro-Yan, ina ng kanyang former boyfriend na si Rico Yan.
Nagkasama ang dalawa sa Manila Memorial Park, Parañaque City para sa paggunita sa ika-dalawampung anibersaryo ng kamatayan ni Rico kahapon, March 28, 2022.
Sumakabilang-buhay si Rico, sa edad na 27, noong March 29, 2002 sa Dos Palmas Resort, Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

Kasama nina Mrs. Yan at Claudine sa paggunita sa anibersaryo ng pagpanaw ni Rico ang mga tagahanga nitong hindi nagbabago ang pagmamahal sa aktor.
Si Mrs. Yan ang unang nagsalita at nagpasalamat sa lahat ng mga taong hindi nakalilimot sa kanyang anak.
Saad niya, “Tinatanong ni Bobby [Yan, Rico’s eldest brother] sa akin, sabi niya, 'How do you process the fact that Rico has been gone for twenty years?'
“Sabi ko, 'You know, I think I’m in a very unusual place, a very privileged place, because Rico is gone but people still love him.'
“I guess, you cannot find anybody who’s in that place because I have friends who have lost their children. But that’s it, they lost their children.
“Pero si Rico, buhay, buhay, buhay wherever I go, whether it’s here, whether it’s in the States... wherever I go."
Dagdag pa ni Mrs. Yan, “I know people who still love Rico and I am very, very grateful for that.
"Kaya even if he’s gone, of course we miss him, that’s natural, but I think he lives in your hearts, he lives in our hearts and, of course, in Claudine’s heart.”
Napaluha naman si Claudine nang marinig nito ang dahilan kung bakit makalipas ang dalawang dekada ay inimbitahan siya ni Mrs. Yan para sa paggunita sa death anniversary ni Rico.
Pahayag ng ina ni Rico, “I decided to invite Claudine after twenty years.
"She’s been part of Rico. Rico loved her. She loves Rico. That won’t change.
"So, after twenty years... that’s it, so now let’s celebrate that, not only the 20th death anniversary of Rico but with Claudine by my side,”
Pagkatapos nito ay niyakap ni Claudine si Mrs. Yan.
Nagpasalamat din ang aktres sa lahat ng mga nagpunta at bumisita sa puntod ni Rico.
Mensahe niya, “Salamat sa pagpunta ninyong lahat. Thank you Tita for inviting me.
“Rico is so happy right now, sobrang saya niya.
"Isa lang talaga yung hinihingi ko, twenty years ago, na huwag natin siyang kalimutan.
"Pero ginawa niyo talaga so thank you so much."
