Tinupad ni Vice President-elect Sara Duterte ang pangako nito sa mag-aaral na si Angel Mae Tayaba, ng Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation ng San Carlos, Pangasinan, na mag-proxy sa ina nitong OFW sa kanyang moving-up ceremony.
Ito ang kuwento ni Pangasinan Third District Representative-elect Rachel Arenas sa kanyang Instagram followers ngayong Biyernes, May 27, 2022.
Ayon sa dating MTRCB chairperson, “In less than two days since her proclamation, Vice President-elect Inday Sara Duterte returned to our very own San Carlos City, to fulfill her promise to a young girl, Angel Mae Tayaba.
“Angel first saw VP Sara during her rally in San Carlos where she raised a placard inviting the VP to stand in for her mother, an OFW, during her moving-up ceremony."
Pagpapatuloy ni Arenas, “Then again, when VP Sara went to Dagupan City a few weeks later for the Bangus Festival, Angel sought the VP again, this time sending her a letter. The VP took note of it.
“Lo and behold, with no funfare, no VIP protocols or courtesies accorded, the incredibly humble VP Sara went to the VMUF Science High School to proxy for Angel’s mother, like every other parent, sat in the audience, marched up the stage with Angel, and finally, joined Angel’s family for lunch.
“It was a moment to remember, a reminder to all public servants, what should truly matter.”
Ibinahagi rin ni Arenas sa Instagram ang mga larawan ng pagdalo ni Duterte sa mahalagang araw sa buhay ni Angel, na maligayang-maligaya dahil natupad ang kanyang kahilingan.
Saad ni Arenas sa kanyang post, “Ngayong araw po sobrang pinagpala ang Third District sa muling pagbisita sa atin ng ating Vice President-elect Mayor Inday Sara Duterte.
“Pero bukod tangi po, ang pinaka-masuwerte at pinag-pala ay si Angel Tayaba na grumaduate with honors kanina sa VMU! Ang tumayong guardian niya, kasama niyang nag-march, nagsabit ng kanyang medalya at kasama pa niyang mag-lunch ay walang iba kundi ang Pangalawang Pangulo ng bansa! Ikaw na Angel!!! Kinabog mo kaming lahat!
