Facade of NAIA
Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri on renaming Ninoy Aquino International Airport: "Mas pabor na gawin na lang nating Manila International Airport. Ibalik na lang natin sa original name. If no one will agree on a particular family name, kasi siyempre, yellow against red na naman ‘yan, e, di neutral na lang tayo."

"If no one will agree on a particular family name, kasi siyempre, yellow against red na naman ‘yan, e, di neutral na lang tayo.

"But again, I leave it to the discretion of my colleagues. I can’t make a comment at this time,” sagot ni Zubiri sa tanong sa kanya ng mga reporter.

I can’t make a comment at this time.”

“It is more appropriate to rename it to the person who has contributed to the idea and execution of the said noble project. This project was done during the time of the presidency of Ferdinand Marcos Sr.,” sabi ni Teves.

"I believe it’s just in aid of ‘sipsip pa more’ maneuver, freedom-loving Filipinos must be vigilant in any act that will revise our history," sabi ni Erice sa report na inilabas ng politics.com.ph at naka-post sa kanyang official Facebook page.

Pahayag niya, “I would like to believe that the incoming 19th Congress has more urgent things to do than rename an airport, such as how to arrest inflation and address the surging oil prices.

“There is no compelling reason to change the name of NAIA. Any proposal to rename NAIA will always be seen as political and divisive.

“This obvious attempt for ingratiation is actually a disfavor to President Marcos Jr. It will not augur well with the call for unity of the Marcos administration.

"Leave NAIA alone."
