Sa mga naunang report tungkol sa shooting incident na naganap ngayong araw, July 24, 2022, sa Ateneo de Manila University sa Quezon City, binanggit na isa sa mga casualty ay isang security guard.
Siya ay si Jeneven Bandiala, na nagbuwis ng buhay upang protektahan ang mga tao laban sa pamamaril ng doktor na si Chao Tiao Yumul.
Para sa mga personal na nakakakilala at mga estudyante na nakakasalamuha ni Bandiala, karapat-dapat na malaman ng lahat ang pangalan ng biktima na isang tunay na bayani at hindi lamang basta guwardiya ng paaralan na kanyang pinaglilingkuran.
Isang Facebook post sa account na Jhei Shiee ang nagbigay-pugay sa kabayanihan ni Bandiala.
Nakasaad dito: "Hindi lang siya isang security guard sa Ateneo. Tao siya…may pangalan siya. He deserves to be named and recognized.
"He did beyond what he was supposed to do and I will not settle for him to be simply named as a 'security guard' in Ateneo."
Tatlong oras after ma-upload ang post, naka-generate ito ng 43,000 reactions, 15,000 shares, at 730 comments—na karamihan ay nakikiramay sa mga naulila ni Bandiala, na tinatawag din nilang Kuya Jeneven.

May isa namang nagmungkahi na mag-start ng fund-raising para sa pamilya ng biktima.
Sina Bandiala, former Lamitan City Mayor Rose Furigay, at ang executive assistant nito na si Victor Capistrano ang mga nasawi sa pamamaril ni Chao Tiao Yumul.
Nasugatan naman si Hannah Rose, ang 25-year-old daughter ni Furigay na dadalo sana sa Law School graduation ceremony, na kinansela dahil sa malagim na trahedya.
Personal na galit sa dating alkalde ng Lamitan City ang motibo raw ng pamamaril ng suspek na nasa kustodiya na ngayon ng Quezon City Police District sa Camp Karingal.

Mariin na kinondena ng pamunuan ng Ateneo De Manila University ang naganap na krimen sa pamamagitan ng opisyal na pahayag na inilabas.
"Ateneo de Manila University strongly condemns the shooting incident at Areté, Loyola Heights campus on Sunday afternoon, 24 July 2022.
"Three people were killed, while two others have been injured, including the suspect. Thankfully, the suspect was apprehended by the police shortly after, and is now in the custody of the Quezon City Police District.
"Ateneo de Manila University extends its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. There is no acceptable reason for violence. We hope and pray that justice will be swiftly served.
"The incident occurred around an hour before the start of the 2022 commencement exercises of the Ateneo de Manila School of Law at Areté, which was subsequently canceled. It has robbed the members of the Law School class of 2022 of what was supposed to be a joyous celebration.
"The University and the Law School administration are assisting students, staff, and guests who are dealing with trauma from the incident.
"The Loyola Heights campus was immediately secured.
"The University assures the community that its campuses are safe, and security protocols are now being reviewed and strengthened further.
"Ateneo is thankful for the swift response and assistance of law enforcement and local government personnel. Ateneo will continue cooperating with the authorities in the investigation of this incident.
"We appeal to the public to be careful in spreading unconfirmed information and rumors surrounding this incident.
