Naganap ngayong Lunes, Setyembre 23, 2024, ang send-off para sa TV5 News and Public Affairs chief na si Luchi Cruz-Valdes.

Nagretiro na siya sa serbisyo at mananatili na lamang siya sa puwesto hanggang sa Setyembre 30, 2024.

Ginanap ang news send-off para kay Luchi sa TV5 Complex sa Mandaluyong City.

Dinaluhan ito ng mga empleyado mula sa iba’t ibang departamento ng Kapatid Network.

Dumalo rin sa pagtitipon si TV5 president at chief executive officer Guido Zaballero, na pansamantalang papalit kay Valdes bilang hepe ng News and Public Affairs.

Bago naganap ang send-off, nauna nang nagkaroon ng send-off dinner para kay Luchi ang mga broadcast journalist ng TV5 na kinabibilangan nina Cheryl Cosim, Jiggy Manicad, Chiqui Roa-Puno, at ng mag-asawang Julius at Christine Babao.

Sa kanyang recent Instagram post, pinapurihan ni Cheryl si Luchi, na halos labinlimang taong nagsilbi sa News and Public Affairs ng TV5.

Caption ni Cheryl sa kanyang post: “A simple gathering to celebrate our chief’s retirement. Ma’am LCV, your leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence have been truly inspiring.

“You’ve not only shaped the newsroom with your vision but have also mentored and guided so many of us along the way. Thank you for everything, and here’s to a future as bright and fulfilling as the incredible career you’ve had with us.”

Mensahe naman ni Luchi, “I am so proud to have built a pool of anchors and a stable of reporters who just love the network and love their work and are loyal so I am handling you over to GRZ [Guido Zaballero].

“And I am so confident that I am handling over a very very good product.”

CLIFF GINGCO APPEARS BEFORE NBI

Samantala, ngayong Lunes din nagsadya sa tanggapan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang dating program manager ng News and Public Affairs ng TV5 na si Cliff Gingco.

Ang pagpunta ni Gingco sa NBI ay may kinalaman sa counter-affidavit na ihahain niya kaugnay ng reklamong sexual harassment na isinampa ng isang former news researcher laban sa kanya.

Binigyan ng NBI ng sampung araw si Gingco para sagutin ang mga paratang ng male news researcher laban sa kanya.

Ang mabigat na bintang ng 22-year-old complainant ang dahilan ng pagkakatanggal ni Gingco mula sa serbisyo, ayon kay Senator Raffy Tulfo na idinulog ang problema kay TV5 Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan na agad namang umaksyon.
