Muling nadagdagan ang mga parangal sa award-winning Filipina actress na si Judy Ann Santos dahil siya ang nagwagi bilang pinakamahusay na aktres sa 45th Fantasporto International Film Festival na ginanap mula Pebrero 28, 2025, hanggang Marso 8, 2025, sa Batalha Centro De Cinema, Porto, Portugal.
Nanalo si Judy Ann dahil sa mahusay niyang pagganap sa Espantaho na may English title na Scarecrow.
Ito ang kanyang pangalawang best actress award para sa nabanggit na pelikula bilang siya rin ang nagwagi sa Gabi ng Parangal ng 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) noong Disyembre 27, 2024.
“It is heavy. There’s a lot of excess baggage when I get back home,” ang pabirong sabi ni Judy Ann nang umakyat siya sa entablado para tanggapin ang parangal sa kanya.
“I would like to thank the jury of Fantasporto for the recognition. It is with great pride and honor that I am here to represent my country which is the Philippines.
“I would also like to share this award with my director Chito Roño, our writer Chris Martinez and, of course, to [the] Espantaho team.
“And to my husband and to my three children, they’ve been always my inspiration in every project I make.
“Porto is such a beautiful city. I am just so happy I would be bringing home the best souvenir,” ang mensahe ng pasasalamat ni Judy Ann para sa international acting award na ipinagkaloob sa kanya.
