Si CJ ang first runner-up ni dethroned Miss Grand International 2024 Rachel Gupta ng India.

Noong Huwebes, Mayo 29, inilabas ng Miss Grand International Organization (MGI) sa pamamagitan ng social media ang mga detalye tungkol sa pagsasalin ng korona at titulo kay CJ.
Sa hindi inaasahang pagkakataon, si CJ ang unang Pilipinang hinirang na Miss Grand International — na matagal naging mailap sa mga kandidata mula sa Pilipinas.
Nakasaad sa imbitasyon ng MGI: “Time tells all. The CROWN has found its QUEEN.
"Join us for the official coronation of Miss Grand International — Christine Juliane Opiaza, the first-ever Grand Queen from the Philippines.

NAWAT ITSARAGRISIL ON ALLEGED VIOLATIONS OF RACHEL GUPTA
Ilang oras bago ang kumpirmasyong isasalin kay CJ ang korona at titulo ng Miss Grand International 2024, naglabas si MGI President Nawat Itsaragrisil ng mga ebidensiyang magpapatunay umano ng pagiging pasaway ni Rachel Gupta.
Kabilang dito ang walang pahintulot umanong pagtanggap nito ng mga trabaho, na paglabag sa pinirmahang kontrata ng dethroned beauty queen.
Inilabas din ni Nawat ang before-and-after photos ng breast augmentation procedure umano kay Rachel, pati ang mga larawan ng pagpaparetoke raw ng ina at kapatid ng Indian beauty queen.
Nakasaad sa chronological summary ng MGI na isa sa mga dahilan ng pagbawi sa korona at titulo ni Rachel ang diumano’y unauthorized sponsorship agreement nito sa isang plastic surgery hospital na major sponsor ng beauty pageant.
Nakasaad dito: “She independently requested contact details of MGI sponsor Nana Hospital — a plastic surgery hospital in Korea and arranged for her mother to undergo a facelift and her sister to get a free nose surgery, without informing the organization.
“This was a clear case of personal benefit gained from an organizational sponsor. After the surgeries were completed, she refused to post any promotional content in return.
“The hospital subsequently contacted the organization, expressing dissatisfaction and urging us to manage the situation. Only then did she agree to post in exchange for the free service."
Hindi malinaw ang intensiyon ni Nawat sa paglalabas ng mga impormasyong ito, ngunit posible siyang maakusahan ng body-shaming dahil dito.

RACHEL GUPTA'S SIDE OF THE STORY
Kahapon, Mayo 29, naglabas ng mahabang video si Rachel Gupta upang ilahad ang kanyang panig sa isyu.
Iginiit ni Rachel na hindi siya na-dethrone, at siya raw mismo ang nagbitiw bilang Miss Grand International 2024.
Nakaranas daw ang Indian beauty queen ng pagmamaltrato, body shaming, at pagkagutom.
Naging bahagi rin daw ng regular duties niya ang pagla-live selling sa TikTok ng mga diumano'y mumurahing produkto.
Bahagi ng kanyang pahayag: "Truly, it’s impossible to work with the Miss Grand International Organization.
"The way they are, the way they treat people, they only care about money, like that is their only thing.
"It made so much sense to me later on when I saw that so many people were dropping their licenses because nobody wants, even after winning, nobody wants their girls to be in this kind of position."
