Naglabas ng babala at paalala ang Viva Artists Agency (VAA) sa publiko tungkol sa isang Facebook page na gumagamit ng "deepfake video" tampok si Anne Curtis sa panloloko ng mga tao.
Ang VAA ay ang namamahala sa entertainment career ni Anne sa matagal na panahon.
Ayon naman sa Merriam-Webster, ang deepfake ay isang "image or recording that has been convincingly altered and manipulated to misrepresent someone as doing or saying something that was not actually done or said."
Ibig sabihin, hindi totoong si Anne ang laman ng video, at ginamit lamang ng naturang Facebook page ang kanyang imahe.
Pinaalalahanan ng VAA ang publiko na ilegal ang ginawang ito ng Facebook page na humihikayat na tangkilikin ang kanilang “financial project.”
Iginiit ng VAA sa opisyal na pahayag nitong hindi sila mangingiming sampahan ng kaso ang sinumang gumagamit sa kanilang contract star sa mga online scam.

VIVA ARTISTS AGENCY STATEMENT
Pahayag ng VAA: “It has come to our attention that a certain Facebook page is using the image of one of our artists, ANNE CURTIS-SMITH, illegally without any authority whatsoever.
“Please be informed that Anne is NOT connected in any way to the said Facebook page. The video is DEEPFAKE, a product of AI [Artificial Intelligence], and was made without consent of Anne nor of Viva.
“We do not condone such acts, and those found responsible shall be dealt with severely and held civilly and criminally liable to the maximum extent possible under the law.
“We urge the public to be vigilant and discerning of online scams and illegal uses of AI to mislead and spread fake information.”
