Inanunsiyo ng pop star na si Justin Timberlake na na-diagnose siyang may Lyme disease.
Ang Lyme disease ay isang uri ng bacterial infection na naisasalin sa pamamagitan ng kagat ng garapata na maaaring magdulot ng mga sintomas tulad ng pagkapagod, pananakit ng ulo at mga kasu-kasuan, paninigas ng leeg, at maging ng depresyon.
Ginamit ni Timberlake ang Instagram account nito sa pagsasapubliko ng kanyang karamdaman, ngayong Biyernes, Agosto 1, 2025.
Ayon kay Timberlake, nabigla siya nang matanggap niya ang resulta pero hindi ito naging hadlang para ihinto ang kanyang concert tour.
Bahagi ng pahayag ng former NSYNC member: “I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease -— which I don’t say so you feel bad for me –– but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes.
"If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.
“When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure.
"But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness. I was faced with a personal decision.
“Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out.
"I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I’m so glad I kept going.
“Not only did I prove my mental tenacity to myself but, I now have so many special moments with all of you that I will never forget.
"I was reluctant to talk about this because I was always raised to keep something like this to yourself. But I am trying to be more transparent about my struggles so that they aren’t misinterpreted.”

NOT THE FIRST JUSTIN TO BE DIAGNOSED WITH LYME DISEASE
Hindi si Justin Timberlake ang unang mang-aawit na Justin na nagtapat sa publikong taglay nila ang Lyme disease.
Enero 2020 nang ipagtapat ni Justin Bieber sa publiko, sa pamamagitan ng Instagram post, ang pagkakaroon niya ng Lyme disease.
Ito ang natuklasang sanhi ng kanyang depresyon noon.
Pahayag noon ng Canadian pop star: "While a lot of people kept saying 'Justin Bieber looks like shit, on meth, etc.,' they failed to realize I've been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but [I also] had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my skin, brain function, energy, and overall health.”
Hindi lamang sina Bieber at Timberlake ang mga kilalang personalidad na may Lyme disease.
Ito rin ang sakit nina Avril Lavigne, Ben Stiller, Alec Baldwin, Debbie Gibson, at ng mag-inang Yolanda at Bella Hadid.
