Sa Pebrero 14, 2026 ang ika-42 kaarawan ng aktor at direktor na si John Prats.
Imbes na magkaroon ng selebrasyon, pinili niyang magtrabaho dahil siya ang direktor ng Champions of the Heart, ang Valentine’s Day concert na itatanghal sa Marriott Grand Ballroom, Newport World Resorts, Pasay City.
Nang humarap si John sa entertainment media kahapon, Enero 15, 2025, nagbitaw siya ng salita na kakaiba ang Champions of the Heart dahil walang writer ang concert nina Martin Nievera, Jed Madela, Klarisse de Guzman, Sofronio Vasquez, at Jona.
Saad niya: “We want to make it a different Valentine concert. Buong show is gonna be different.
“I believe that when you love, you gamble. Susugal ka, it’s a risk. Masarap magmahal.
"Kapag masakit, masakit talaga, pero hindi ibig sabihin, talo ka because may nage-gain ka na something from that love."

JOHN PRATS ON CHAMPIONS OF THE HEART
Nagkuwento si John tungkol sa konsepto ng Champions of the Heart.
“Sabi ko nga, it’s their story.
"Itong concert na ito, walang writer because we believe, I believe that all artists na nandito, sila yung writer ng sarili nilang love.
"So, we want that, maging organic sa kanila yung mga kuwento.
“Even sa teleprompters, sabi ko, wala talaga silang babasahin. Ang babasahin lang nila ang sponsors.
"But other than that, you have to put good points and you have to tell the story on your own.
“Bakit Champions of the Heart? Because every love that we give, we took a risk kapag haharapin natin.
"Minsan nananalo tayo, minsan talo tayo, pero kapag natalo tayo, hindi ibig sabihin hindi tayo champion.
“Champion tayo because we braved it, all those challenges that we go through," paliwanag ni John.

JOHN ON WORKING WITH OPM ARTISTS
Maliban kay Klarisse, makakatrabaho ni John sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon sa isang concert sina Martin, Jed, Sofronio, at Jona.
Pero, diumano, mas nangingibabaw sa kanya ang excitement at hindi ang mga hamon ng pagiging direktor ng mga mahuhusay na mang-aawit.
“Hindi ko naisip na challenging," sambit ni John.
"Mas naisip ko na I’m more excited to do this project with them.
"Because si Klarisse, nakatrabaho ko three times. But Jed, Sir Martin, Jona, and Sofronio, talagang first time ko to work with them.
“Sabi ko nga, sa creative process, mahihirapan ba ako? Hindi, because I get it from them. Like, we have inputs then we visualize it.
“Ang sarap to work with artists na all in. Hindi lang yung parang nakahiwalay na, 'I’ll just gonna do my part.”
Pinuri naman ni Martin si John.
Sinabi ng Concert King ng Pilipinas: “He never works on his birthday. We have one of the most electrifying and genius directors.
“I’ve been wanting to work with John for the longest time. I’ve heard great things about John Prats.
"I’ve seen his work, I’ve seen him in action, how hands-on he is with the artist, to the script.
“Pakialamero talaga. What do you call it? Control freak to death.
"And I love that because it gives us, the artists, the challenge to be better.
“We want to be better because the director is pushing you to match what he has in mind so I was very excited.”
