Hindi pinangalanan ni Edu Manzano ang mga personalidad mula sa political families na nandaya umano sa isang golf tournament, pero halata sa kanyang “blind item” Facebook post ang pagkadismayang nararamdaman.
Nakasaad sa kanyang post: “This wasn’t about golf. This was a character test, and they cheated and failed.
“Not a world event. Not big money. Just a club tournament and an honor system. A simple scorecard.
"And still nandaya. That tells us the problem isn’t pressure. It’s personality. It’s habit.
“These are political families, people who live off public trust. If they can’t be honest in a low-stakes game, what happens when real power and real money are involved?
"Golf is self-policing. You call penalties on yourself. No referee. Just conscience. So when cheating still happens, the message is clear: winning matters more than truth.
“This is how corruption survives, not only through giant scandals but through small dishonest acts people excuse because 'laro lang.'
“But it’s never just a game. It’s practice. If they cheat when nothing matters, imagine what they do when everything does,”

THE PERSONALITIES WHO allegedly CHEATED NAMED IN A STATEMENT
Dahil walang binanggit na mga pangalan si Edu, marami ang naintriga at nagkaroon ng interes malaman ang mga tauhan sa kanyang isiniwalat na kuwento ng pandaraya.
Makalipas lamang ang isang oras, ibinahagi niya ang link ng breaking news ng Inquirer: “In a special board meeting of the Alabang Country Club BOD, it was reportedly decided that the two top teams of the recent Mango Tee 38 Member-Guest will be disqualified.”

Nakasaad sa kumalat na board resolution: “At a duly constituted special meeting of the Board of Directors of ALABANG COUNTRY CLUB Inc. (hereafter the 'Corporation') held on 09 February 2026 at the Board Room, Alabang Country Club, Acacia Ave. Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City, and during which a quorum was present and acted throughout, the following resolutions, upon motion made and duly seconded, were adopted and approved to wit.
“RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that after careful review of the investigative report submitted by the Mango Tee Committee and in coordination with the Club’s Golf Committee, the Board of Directors of Alabang Country Club Inc. has decided and unanimously agreed to withdraw the awards conferred during the Mango Tee awarding rites on 07 February 2026 to the teams of (1) Mr. Ronin Leviste and partner Mr. Darren Flores; (ii) Mr. Luis Raymund Villafuerte and partner Mr. Edward Francisco, due to the highly unusual and statistically improbable submitted scores made by these two abovementioned teams.
“RESOLVED FINALLY that the teams of (i) Mr. Ronin Leviste and partner Mr. Darren Flores, and (ii) Mr. Luis Raymund Villafuerte and partner Mr. Edward Francisco are asked to return the trophies awarded to them during the Mango Tee awarding rites held on 07 February 2026.
