Inalok siya ng date ng Academy award-winning actor na si Jared Leto pero tinanggihan niya ang kuwento ni Jenny Syquia, ang dating aktres at ex-wife ni Gabby Concepcion.
Ibinahagi ni Jenny sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Facebook post ang pagtatagpo nila ni Leto sa isang party sa New York City noong dekada ’90.
Nangyari raw iyon noong panahong nagtatrabaho siya sa Vogue sa U.S., at nakakasalamuha ang noo'y nagtatrabaho sa Calvin Klein na si Carolyn Bessette.
Si Carolyn and kalauna'y naging asawa ni John F. Kennedy Jr.

JENNY SYQUIA ON MEETING JARED LETO
Balik-tanaw ni Jenny: "Another time while working at Vogue, I was over at Calvin Klein doing what fashion assistants did most of the day-picking up or returning clothes for shoots and run-throughs, and Carolyn was there.
"There was a Calvin Klein party happening that night and I was invited to attend.
"At the party, a man walked up to me-honestly one of the most beautiful men I had ever seen.
"Almost too good looking to be real. The kind of face where you have to look away because it’s so striking. He had mesmerizing blue eyes."
Nagsisimula pa lang noon si Jared bilang artista, at hindi niya nakilala.
"We started talking. He asked who I knew there. I told him Carolyn and that we had gone to college together and that I worked at Vogue.
"I asked what he did. 'I'm an actor,' he replied.
"After speaking for a while, he asked me for my phone number so we could got out. I told him I didn’t give out my number.
"Which is very funny… because in the new series that’s exactly what Carolyn says when JFK Jr. asked for hers.
"Maybe The Rules originated from B.U. (Boston University) girls?"
Sa kaso ni Jenny, sinubukan pa rin daw ni Leto na makuha ang number ni Jenny.
"He walked away. Then a few minutes later, he came back and handed me a small piece of paper. On it was written a phone number. And a name. Jared Leto.
"I never called him (Stupid me). I wonder if he remembers that. (I’m sure he doesn’t). But definitely I do!"
Unang nakilala si Leto noong '90s sa TV show na My So-Called Life. Ilan sa mga pelikula niya ay Suicide Squad (2016), Dallas Buyers Club (2013), Requiem for a Dream (2000). Lead vocalist din siya ng rock band na Thirty Seconds To Mars.

JENNY SYQUIA COLLEGE BATCHMATES WITH CAROLYN BESSETT
Binalikan ni Jenny ang alaala ng pagtatagpo nila ni Leto dahil may kaugnayan ito sa Love Story, ang popular FX series na mapapanood sa DisneyPlus at tungkol sa relasyon ng mag-asawang JFK Jr. at Carolyn.
Nasawi ang power couple sa isang plane crash noong Hulyo 16, 1999.
Ayon sa salaysay ni Jenny, nakilala nila ni Carolyn ang isa’t isa noong mga college student sila sa Boston University.
Aniya, "I first met Carolyn Bessette in college at Boston University, where we were both chosen for the now iconic Girls of BU calendar - Carolyn as the gorgeous, well-deserving cover girl and me as Miss May.
"After college we both moved to New York pursuing careers in fashion-she at Calvin Klein and I at Vogue-arriving just as the early '90s supermodel era was exploding."
Ikinuwento pa ni Jenny kung gaano kabait si Carolyn noon pa man.
Detalyadong lahad niya: "Carolyn was unforgettable even then.
"People always talk about how beautiful she was-and yes, she truly was -but what cameras could never quite capture was her presence.
"When Carolyn walked into a room, it was like the sun walked in with her. Yet she never made anyone feel small.
"The moment she saw you, she would come up and start talking to you as if you were the only person in the room. That was her magic.
"After graduation in 1990, I, like many from our Boston gang (including Carolyn), moved to New York.
"I went from the magic of Boston in the late 80’s straight into the magic of NYC in the early '90s-working at Vogue just as the supermodel era was exploding.
"Carolyn was in New York too, working at Calvin Klein and our worlds crossed again."
Nagpahayag si Jenny ng interes na muling balikan ang Philippine entertainment industry sa isang panayam sa kanya.
Ang Bridesmaids (1996 ), Eseng ng Tondo (1997), Takot Ako sa Darling Ko (1997) at Hanggang Dito Na Lang (1997) ang mga pelikula ni Jenny matapos ang paghihiwalay nila ni Gabby noong 1995.
Hanggang sa nagdesisyon siyang manirahan nang permanente sa ibang bansa.
