The OPM Friends: Groovin’ The Greatest Hits.

So, mas marami ang nakaka-record.

“Pero siyempre, nakataas ang kilay naming lahat.

"And the use of AI, well ako, I am very open to AI kasi because I’ve seen the good that it can do for mankind, medicine, education, business.”

“Pero when it comes to the arts, siguro lay-off sila kasi kailangan may puso, may kaluluwa, may soul, may emotion, especially tayong mga Pilipino, very emotional.

“I welcome it because it will help mankind.

"Pero kailangan din, just like any other new development, may someone supervising it at kailangan may puso when it comes to the arts.”

My answer is the same as Celeste.”

THE OPM FRIENDS

Makakasama nina Celeste at Mitch sa Groovin’ The Greatest Hits ang kanilang OPM Friends na sina Leah Navarro, Nanette Inventor, Bimbo Cerrudo, Pinky Marquez, Ding Mercado, at Pat Castillo.

Nabuo ang The OPM Friends noong 2024.

Lahad ni Leah: “We’re having lunch about six of us. And Celeste said, 'Uy, may sakit si Fritz Ynfante. He’s not doing well. He’s having difficulty in getting finances together for his medication.’

“So Nanette said, 'Why don’t we do fundraising?' This was 2024, mga August, September.

“So we all agree. We called each other and they said,’ 'You wanna do caroling? Let’s go caroling.'

"And our good friends, Anna Ylagan and Jackie Aquino, said, ‘Yeah let’s do that. Get people to invite us to have caroling in people’s homes or somebody who’s having a Christmas party.'

"That’s how we began.

“Since then, we have been doing shows for corporate, private, and even for schools when they also need to fundraise.

“So what we are doing now is just a larger version of what we’ve been doing.”

Aniya: “We all agreed kung sino ang tutulungan namin and how much we’re going to give, so we all study that.

"At the same time, na-realize namin na the more we are together, we sing together, it keeps us younger and healthier.

“So, parang naging dalawa ang purpose, yung aming being together and I think it’s a blessing for us na nagkakasama kami.

"We have our friendships renewed and we’re able to help others. Parang nahulugan kami ng langit ng blessings.”

Gaganapin ang The OPM Friends: Groovin’ The Greatest Hits ngayong Biyernes ng gabi, Marso 27, 2026, sa Newport Performing Arts Theater, Pasay City.
