Inamin ni Jake Cuenca sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon ang estado ng relasyon nila ni Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo.
“Kami na," pagkumpirma ng Kapamilya actor sa panayam niya sa Fast Talk With Boy Abunda ngayong Miyerkules, Mayo 27, 2026.
"I am really really proud to say it. Kasi she’s an amazing woman, incredible woman... and very intelligent.”
Ayon kay Jake, siya ang gumawa ng paraan para makilala nila ang isa’t isa.
Ginamit daw niya ang social media para mapansin siya ni Rabiya.
Lahad ng aktor: “Sabi ko, 'How else magko-cross yung paths namin kung, if we’re in two different networks?'
"She always definitely been a crush of mine.
"And once na tinapos ko yung dalawang programa ko, once I was able to finish my responsibilities, I have to shoot my shot. I messaged her.
“Actually, it didn’t start with I DM-ed [direct message] her. Parang, I liked a few of her photos first and then finollow ko siya.
"Nagulat ako she followed me back, and then our conversation started from that.”
Malaki raw ang paghanga ni Jake kay Rabiya dahil sa desisyon nitong talikuran muna ang showbiz at ipagpatuloy ang pag-aaral para matupad ang pangarap niyang maging doktor.
Ani Jake, “She’s the person who’s willing to walk away from it and go to med school and I find that very remarkable.
"She just made it to UST Med School, the best... arguably the best med school in our country.
"So, for me, I am very proud of her. She’s going to med school for four years and maybe taking up Masters.
"For me, parang contrast, na ako sobrang passionate about show business and I’ve been here for 25 years.
“I find it very refreshing... very admirable na dini-dedicate niya yung sarili niya kasi it’s gonna be a long road.”

HONG KONG DISNEYLAND
Noong Mayo 18, 2026 naging opisyal na kasintahan ni Jake si Rabiya.
Niyaya raw ng aktor si Rabiya sa Hong Kong habang naghihintay ito ng resulta ng entrance exam sa Medicine School ng University of Santo Tomas.
Lahad ni Jake: “She was nervous kasi she’s on the wait list for UST so she didn’t know if she’s gonna get in.
"It’s not easy so I told her, 'Why don’t you come to Hong Kong with me? I have work there.'
"And I said, 'Maybe if we go to Disneyland, we’re on the right frequency... And I believe, if you’re on the right frequency of happiness, you’re gonna manifest your dreams.'
“It happened in Disneyland. Nagkatotoo yung sinabi ko sa kanya.
"She got the text na, she’s nervous to open it. When she opened it, she cried. She got in.
“It was truly an unforgettable trip kasi dun ko rin siya tinanong to be my girlfriend."
Dagdag pa niya. "We’re dating for three months and then, finally, I asked her to be my girlfriend officially.”

JAKE CUENCA RETURNS TO GMA-7 AFTER TWO DECADES
Dalawang dekadang hindi tumuntong sa bakuran ng GMA Network si Jake mula nang lumipat siya sa ABS-CBN noong 2006.
Nanindig daw ang mga balahibo ni Jake nang balikan niya ang dating home studio para sa guesting niya sa Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.
Pagbabahagi ng Kapamilya actor: “I was having goosebumps on the way here.
"Sabi ko nung naglakad ako diyan, I remember being young, Tito Dougs [Douglas Quijano] my first manager.
“Hindi pa ako artista noon. He took me here, taping ng Kool Ka Lang with Richard Gomez, Joey Marquez, Raymart Santiago...
"And he introduced me to show business. I was lucky enough to be managed by him."
JAKE CUENCA RECALLS HIS GMA DAYS
Ang youth-oriented show na Click, na mula sa direksiyon ni Mac Alejandre, ang unang proyekto ni Jake.
Dito raw niya naranasang umabot sa Take 50 ang kanyang pag-arte sa isang eksena dahil baguhan siyang aktor.
Saad ni Jake: “First take ko, Take 50, Take 45, as in I could not do it. Hindi ko magawa.
"Yung kaba ko talagang… I remember being so nervous.
“I was a commercial model that time. But taping was a different world, like, mas mahaba na yung linya, everyone was rushing.
"It was definitely a pressure seat, but I will always be grateful for that kasi it made me a greater actor later on.
“It’s my 25th year in showbiz, but I can really say na kahit kailan sa career ko, hindi lumaki ang ulo ko because of how I started in GMA-7.
"It really trained me to be humble and believe in myself. I am grateful to GMA-7 for that."

JAKE CUENCA ADMITS GETTING REJECTED BY KAPUSO CO-STARS
Inamin ni Jake na naranasan niyang mabigo sa lahat ng mga aktres na sinubukan niyag ligawan noon.
“Marami akong basted sa GMA, not girlfriend. Lahat ng niligawan ko, lahat ng nilalapitan ko, allergic talaga sa akin noon!” natatawang pag-amin ni Jake.
Nang magtanong si Boy Abunda tungkol sa mga aktres na niligawan ni Jake noong GMA-7 actor pa ito, isang pangalan lang ang binanggit niya.
“I could say one, I will never forget this... Yasmien Kurdi. I remember that.
"But lucky enough, nang lumipat ako [sa ABS-CBN], bumaligtad ang fortune ko doon.
“I’m humble enough to admit na struggling actor po ako noon and maybe I was not the best-looking prize amongst everyone else.
"So, I understand that naman and marami rin akong natutunan in that journey," saad niya.
