Kahapon, Hunyo 10, 2026, naging viral ang komento niya sa Instagram nang kuwestiyunin ng isang netizen ang hindi pagkanta sa Tagalog kahit na Pilipinas ang ni-represent nila ng kapwa niya Filipino-American na si Jether Palomo sa international male pageants.
Buwelta ni Brandon sa netizen: "tell that to all the front runners for the Philippines. This country wouldn’t have a chance on the national stage without us halfies.”
BRANDON ESPIRITU'S ENDORSEMENTS AFFECTED BY HIS REMARKS
Umani ng 'sangkatutak na batikos ang may diskriminasyong pahayag na ito ni Brandon, hindi lamang mula sa netizens kundi maging sa pageant fashion industry.
Sa kabila ng paghingi ng paumanhin, naging puntirya siya ng cancel culture at panawagan ng netizens na i-boycott o huwag tangkilikin ang mga kompanya at produktong iniendorso niya at may koneksiyon sa kanya.
Nabawasan na rin ang bilang ng social media followers ni Brandon, na biglang nakilala dahil sa kanyang komentong inalmahan at kinondena ng maraming Pilipino.

LONGEVITY LABS PH
Ngayong Huwebes ng umaga, Hunyo 11, 2026, naglabas ng statement ang health at wellness website na Longevity Labs PH tungkol sa kanilang desisyong tuldukan ang kaugnayan nila kay Brandon, na may "minority stake" sa kumpanya.
Nakasaad dito: “We have seen Brandon Espiritu’s public apology, and we acknowledge it. It takes courage to own a mistake publicly, and we respect that he did.
“After careful consideration, we have made the decision to end our investor relationship with Brandon and are initiating the process to remove him from our cap table.
"Brandon held a minority stake in Longevity Labs. He had no management role, no operational involvement.
"Longevity Labs is a Filipino brand. We exist to serve the Filipino people and everyone who calls this place home.
"When the association between our name and those comments — however unintentional — causes our community pain, we have a responsibility to act.
“An apology, however sincere, does not undo that responsibility.
"We wish Brandon well. We hope his words today reflect genuine growth.
"But we also have to do what is right for the people who work for us and those who walk through our doors every day.
"To our community: thank you for holding us to a higher standard. We will always try to deserve it.”

Ang kontrobersiyang kinasasangkutan ni Brandon sa kasalukuyan ang dahilan para punahin din ang madalas na pagtakbo niya nang hubad sa kalye ng Metro Manila.
Pagsuway ito sa paalaala ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), noong Abril 2026, na ipinagbabawal sa mga kalalakihan ang walang suot na pang-itaas sa mga pampublikong lugar, kahit mainit ang panahon.
