Mag-uumpisa ngayong Sabado ng gabi, Hulyo 18, 2026, 7 P.M., ang lamay para sa mga labi ni John Vincent “JV” Gallego (Marso 26,1991- Hulyo 18, 2026), ang dating San Beda University guard at NCAA men’s basketball champion.
Nasawi siya sa edad na 28 nang bumangga ang kanyang minamaneho na sasakyan sa isang concrete barrier sa North Luzon Expressway, Meycauayan City, Bulacan.
Kasama ni Gallego ang kanyang asawa nang maganap ang sakuna nitong Sabado nang umaga.
Ang VP Global Management na pinamumunuan nina CEO Charlie Dy at Dondon Monteverde ang namamahala sa sports career ni JV. Sina James Yap, Ricci Rivero, at Mark Mugen ang ilan sa sports personalities na talent ng VP Global Management.
Nakipag-ugnayan ang Cabinet Files sa VP Global Management, at ang pamunuan nito ang nagsabi na nakaligtas sa aksidente ang asawa ni JV.
Naulila ni JV ang misis nito at ang kanilang anak na babae, na magdiriwang ng ikalawang taon na kaarawan sa Agosto 2026.

Naglabas din ng mensahe ng pakikiramay para sa mga naiwan ni JV ang San Beda University Alumni Association.
Anila: “The San Beda University Alumni Association (SBUAA) extends its heartfelt condolences on the passing of JV Gallego (CAS 2024), a proud Bedan and Champion Red Lion whose passion, determination, and love for San Beda inspired both on and off the court.
“Though his life was far too brief, the legacy he leaves as a student-athlete and member of the Bedan family will always be remembered. May the Lord grant him eternal rest and bring strength and comfort to his family, teammates, friends, and loved ones.”
