Kasama si James Reid sa mga artistang nagtanghal sa ASAP Australia noong Linggo, Hulyo 26, 2026.
Ito ang dahilan kaya hindi siya nakadalo sa media conference para sa cast reveal ng Haunted Carnival, ang pelikula ng Regal Entertainment Inc. na opisyal na kalahok sa 52nd Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) na mag-uumpisa sa Disyembre 25.
Hindi man nakasipot sa cast reveal ng Haunted Carnival dahil nasa Sydney, Australia, siya, humingi ng pasensya si James sa video na ipinadala niya at ipinalabas sa nabanggit na media conference.
Nagbigay rin siya ng mensahe tungkol sa pagiging bahagi niya ng Haunted Carnival.
Saad ni James: “I think one of the main reasons why I said yes to this project, it’s really a genre that I haven’t explored yet.
"So when I heard from the Regal team a horror slash set in the 80’s, I said that sounds really fun.
“And I’m very excited to work with Direk Joey de Guzman and I love his works so far, so I’m very excited for that.
“Also the cast, I was very surprised to hear about the cast that’s gonna be in the project.
"It’s very diverse and I haven’t been able to work with I think most everyone in the cast.
"It should be very exciting, how all these characters, very different characters, come together in the film.
“As we approach the shoot, I’m very excited to play Lean.
"I’m very excited to build this character and dive into this crazy Haunted Carnival world.”

DIVERSE CAST
Ang Haunted Carnival ang third installment sa Haunted movie franchise ng Regal Entertainment.
Una ang Haunted Mansion na official entry sa MMFF 2015.
Sinundan ito ng Haunted Forest na opisyal na kalahok sa MMFF 2017.
Tinawag ni James na "diverse" ang cast ng Haunted Carnival dahil makakatrabaho niya sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon ang award-winning veteran actors na sina Maricel Soriano at John Arcilla.
Kasama sa cast ng period movie ng Regal sina RK Bagatsing, Fyang Smith, Charlie Fleming, Prince Carlos, Joaquin Arce, JM Salvador, Celyn David, at Julia Barretto.

Isang period movie ang Haunted Carnival dahil nangyari ang kuwento nito noong 1986.
Ayon kay Direk Joey de Guzman, nakahanap na sila ng peryang gagamitin nila sa mga eksena ng kanyang bagong horror movie project.
“Actually, it was kinda funny because we’re trying to chase, find a perya, but they keep on moving,” kuwento ni Joey.
Pero nakakita na umano sila ng perya para sa shooting ng Haunted Carnival na posibleng magsimula sa Agosto 2026.
