MARTIN NIEVERA DETAILS JETBLUE ORDEAL

Lahad niya (published as is): “Here is an update on the status of the bag I accidentally left on a JetBlue flight from Las Vegas to Ft. Lauderdale flight #1708. Seat D3 on July 4, 2026.

“Found the bag the next morning on my own, following a tile device all night that was still in my wallet.

"Then after being told the description I gave didn’t sound familiar, my girlfriend pressed the tile tag alarm and it rang behind the same counter where they said no bag with that description had passed.

“So after hearing the alarm ringing they obviously found it and gave it to me only to find that all my cash amounting to a little less than $3,000 and all my credit cards were taken.”

“When I went back to ask why my money was gone that was the only time they told me that’s their standard procedure that when cash is found in a lost item that a check of the amount found would be sent to me once they find the item. And that credit cards would be shredded.

“Then I read somewhere that this really happens but only after 30 days after if the item is not claimed, but I was only away from the Ft. Lauderdale airport not even 24 hours.”

Saad niya: “Long story short more than two weeks pass and they finally text to ask me where they can send the money.

"The amount they said they were sending and were happy to have found was $90 and 3,350 pesos of Philippine currency. $90????? Pesos????

“I didn’t even have pesos. Not vacationing in America anyway. AND That was not the amount! $90 is quite far from less than $3,000.”

“Anyway, life goes on and I made this video to tell you all to be extra careful out there and that I was gonna let this JetBlue mishap go so I can go on with my life.

“It’s not the money, it’s the trust and how just a couple of people can make a whole shiny and blue airline look terrible.

“Again this was my fault for being an idiot and leaving my bag, but everyone who wears a JetBlue uniform or badge should really really represent the airline they work for better.

"Terrible experience. Lessons learned. Let’s move on.”

Aniya: “Well as you can see almost a month later, that zero energy guy at the Ft. Lauderdale baggage office who offered no help to retrieve my bag that I left under my seat only minutes after de planing was actually right about a check being sent to me for the cash that was missing when WE found the bag right in the storage area behind him.

“It’s not the amount I reported, but hey at least we now know the system actually works. So it’s a good day everybody!

"Thank you JetBlue I hope you are fixing the customer service attitudes in the Ft. Lauderdale airport baggage claim office. Especially that Mr. Cheerful!

“And thank you Anj del Rosario for putting a tracking tile in my wallet. If you didn’t do what you did we would have never found my bag and none of this would be possible.
