Naglabas ng opisyal na pahayag ang aktor na si Niño Muhlach nitong Lunes ng gabi, Agosto 24, 2026, tungkol sa vehicular accident na kinasangkutan niya.
Nangyari ang insidente sa Marcos Highway, Barangay Mambugan, Antipolo City, noong Linggo, Agosto 23.
Mabilis na kumalat sa social media ang mga video at larawan mula sa aksidenteng naganap sa Marcos Highway.
Makikita sa mga kumalat na video ang tindahang nabangga ng sasakyan na minamaneho ni Niño, pati ang isang motorsiklong nasa ilalim ng sasakyan.
Napansin din ng netizens ang isang traffic enforcer na humiling ng selfie kasama ang aktor habang isinasagawa ang imbestigasyon sa pinangyarihan ng aksidente.
NIÑO MUHLACH OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Sa kanyang personal na pahayag tungkol sa insidente, inako ni Niño ang buong responsibilidad sa aksidente.
Nilinaw niyang hindi mechanical failure ang sanhi nito.
Inamin ng aktor na nakatulog siya habang nagmamaneho dahil sa matinding pagod mula sa kanyang demanding schedule.
Pahayag ni Niño: “I am issuing this official statement to set the record straight regarding the recent vehicular accident involving my vehicle.
“First and foremost, I want to clarify that I had not previously given any personal statement regarding the incident.
“The initial information released stating that the crash was caused by mechanical failure was based solely on the preliminary findings of the police investigation, not from my own words.
“I want to be completely clear and honest: the accident was entirely my fault."

NIÑO MUHLACH: "I FELL ASLEEP BEHIND THE WHEEL"
Ipinaliwanag ni Niño na dahil Linggo nang mangyari ang aksidente, naka-day off ang kanyang regular driver kaya siya mismo ang nagmaneho ng sasakyan.
“Due to an extremely demanding and exhausting schedule, I fell asleep behind the wheel. Because the incident occurred on a Sunday, my regular driver was on his scheduled day off, and I was driving myself," saad niya.
Pero inamin niyang hindi dahilan ang kanyang pagkapagod para mangyari ang insidente.
“While fatigue overtook me, that is no excuse. Falling asleep at the wheel led directly to hitting a pedestrian and damaging nearby establishments."
Sinabi rin ng aktor na handa niyang akuin ang personal at legal na pananagutan sa nangyari.
“I take full personal and legal responsibility for what happened. My priority right now is ensuring that the affected individual receives all necessary care, support, and medical assistance, and that all damages caused to the properties and establishments are fully compensated and rectified.”
Humingi rin siya ng paumanhin sa pedestrian na nasangkot, sa pamilya nito, at sa iba pang naapektuhan ng aksidente.
Nakikipagtulungan na rin daw siya sa mga awtoridad para maresolba ang kaso.
“I am deeply sorry to the victim, their family, and everyone affected by my negligence. I am fully cooperating with authorities as this matter is being resolved.”
