Nakipag-ugnayan ang Cabinet Files ngayong Linggo ng umaga, Setyembre 27, 2026, kay Rod Cornejo para sa reaksiyon nito sa utos ng Court of Appeals na palayain ang kanyang apo na si Deniece Cornejo.
Dalawang taon nang nakabilanggo si Deniece sa Correctional Institution for Women sa Mandaluyong City dahil sa kasong serious illegal detention ng aktor at It’s Showtime co-host na si Vhong Navarro.
May maikling mensahe si Cornejo sa Cabinet Files.
“Yes, there is a court order for the immediate release of Deniece, but there is a technicality that has to be resolved and this will take a few weeks.
"Nonetheless, I remain hopeful and pray that she will be set free very soon.
"Thank you for your concern and prayers."

Samantala, sa isang X post noong Sabado, Setyembre 26, ibinahagi ni Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, dating legal counsel ni Deniece, ang kopya ng Order of Release na inilabas ng Court of Appeals.
Aniya: "Justice has been done. While I withdrew as her counsel due to disagreements with other lawyers, I have PUBLICLY and CONSISTENTLY declared in all those for a that she was raped.
"The wheels of justice grind slowly, but it grinds exceedingly fine.”
Makahulugan naman ang social media post ni Dennis Cornejo, ang ama ni Deniece na based sa U.S., tampok ang larawang magkayakap sila nang mahigpit ng kanyang anak.
Ibinahagi rin ni Dennis ang cryptic Facebook story post, ang litrato ng mga kamay na nakahulagpos mula sa pagkakaposas at awit na may pamagat na “Mga Matang Mapanghusga.”

Hindi lamang ang pangalan ni Deniece ang nakasaad sa Order of Release na may petsang Setyembre 25, 2026.
Kasama rin dito sina Cedric Lee, Guerrero, at Simeon Palma Raz.
Heto ang ipinag-utos ng Court of Appeals sa director general ng NBP BUCOR Muntinlupa City at superintendent ng Correctional Institution for Women: "You are hereby ordered to release immediately the herein accused-appelant unless there is any other cause for which he/she may be lawfully detained.”
BACKTRACK
Noong Mayo 2024, nahatulan ng habambuhay na pagkakakulong ng Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 153 si Deniece, ang businessman na si Cedric Lee, pati na rin sina Guerrero at Raz.
Napatunayan ng korte na nagkasala sila sa kaso ng serious illegal detention na inihain ni Vhong dahil sa insidente ng matinding pambubugbog na nangyari noong Enero 22, 2014, sa isang condominium building sa Bonifacio Global City.
Sa desisyon noon ni Judge Mariam Biem, sinabi nitong: "Cornejo lured Navarro to her condo unit so that her co-accused attained their purpose of restraining Navarro and later on extort money from Navarro before dropping the blotter.”
Ibinasura naman ng Supreme Court noong 2023 ang rape at acts of lasciviousness na isinampa ni Cornejo laban kay Vhong.
