Ang mga biktima ay kinilalang sina Hill L. Padon, 25; Alvin L. Daniel, 21; Crisanto I. Gapacan Jr., 19; Kenjie I. Mangayen, 19; Orville K. Valdez, 22; at Bryan C. Madrid, 18.
Kasama rin sa nasawi si Leonardo Pino, 62, ng Cagayan Valley.
Mga minero ng ginto ang mga biktima.
Ayon sa mga ulat, patuloy ang imbestigasyon ng Itogon Municipal Police Station sa tunay na sanhi ng pagkamatay ng mga minerong hindi nakalabas mula sa tunnel at posibleng nakalanghap ng nakalalasong gas.

Sa pamamagitan ng isang Facebook post, ibinahagi ng Sangguniang Kabataan ng Barangay Banaao, Tadian, Mountain Province ang labis na pagdadalamhati at mensahe ng pamamaalam sa mga kabataang minero na nagbuwis ng buhay habang nagtatrabaho para sa kanilang mga minamahal na pamilya.
Nakasaad dito: “There are people who come into our lives and leave memories that remain in our hearts forever. You were among those people.
“You brought joy, laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories to the people around you.
"You were cherished friends, caring brothers, loving sons, and treasured members of your families and community.
"We will remember your smiles, jokes, laughter, and the moments we shared with you.
“Your departure is a painful and unexpected loss, but we choose to hold on to the beautiful memories you left behind and surrender our sorrow to the Almighty God.
"The SK and the Youth of Banaao extend our deepest condolences, prayers, and empathy to the bereaved families and relatives.
“May God grant you strength, comfort, and peace as you go through this difficult time.
