Para kay Candy Pangilinan, mas mabuting naayos muna nang pribado ang gusot nina Patrick Garcia at Jennylyn Mercado bago ito napag-usapan sa publiko, lalo na dahil may anak silang sangkot sa isyu.
Ibinahagi ni Candy ang kanyang pananaw sa showbiz talk show na Kalurks ng GTV nitong Linggo ng gabi, October 4, 2026.
Kasama niyang nag-guest si Bea Binene para sa promo ng kanilang pelikulang Pee Mak, na mapapanood sa mga sinehan simula October 14.
Bukod sa kanilang pelikula, hiningan din sila ng hosts na sina DJ Jhai Ho at Ashley Rivera ng opinyon tungkol sa kontrobersiyang kinasasangkutan nina Patrick, Jennylyn, at Dennis Trillo.
Si Dennis ang mister ni Jennylyn.
Mas personal para kay Candy ang usapin dahil may special needs din ang kanyang anak na si Quentin, na mag-isa niyang pinalaki.
Ang anak nina Patrick at Jennylyn na si Jazz ay nag-diagnose namang may Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
“Siguro kung ako yon, opinyon ko lang naman po ito, huwag naman po kayong magagalit bilang may anak din naman po ako na special, na neurodivergent,” paunang sabi ni Candy.
Para kay Candy, bago sana nagsalita si Patrick sa publiko, mas mabuting kinausap muna niya nang personal si Jennylyn at ang kanilang anak na si Jazz.
Saad niya: “Para siguro maayos ang lahat, bago siguro nagsalita si Patrick sa maraming tao, pinuntahan muna niya si Jennylyn and inayos niya ito nang tahimik.
“Privately, nag-usap sila. Kinilala niya si Jazz, just the two of you. Just privately.
"At nagkaroon sila ng taimtim na pag-uusap at nakilala niya, silang dalawa, pati si Jennylyn.
“Nagkaroon ng kapatawaran, ng unity, ng reconciliation, pati si Dennis, di ba?
"Nabigyan niya ng pagkakataon at makilala pati ng mga kapatid ni Jazz. Nagkaroon ng ganoon.
“Si Jazz is a child, neurodivergent, and will always be a child.
"He will have all the chance to be a friend to his child, give himself a chance to be a friend to this child of his.”
Ayon kay Candy, minsan pa lamang siya nagkaroon ng pagkakataong makausap si Jennylyn.
“We spoke once before. Very briefly before sa dressing room. And I met Jazz before, parang twice sa pool kasi pareho sila ng coach ni Quentin,” saad ni Candy.

BEA BINENE ECHOES CANDY'S OPINION
Sumang-ayon si Bea sa pananaw ni Candy na mas makabubuting ayusin muna nang pribado ang isang personal na problema bago ito ilabas sa publiko.
May nakita raw siyang social media post tungkol sa mga naging sagutan online ni Jennylyn at mga miyembro ng pamilya ni Patrick.
Lahad niya: “May nakita akong post na may mga encounter na nagsasagutan sina Ate Jen, saka yung family ni Sir Patrick, online, ganyan. Na parang okay sila.
"Na siguro if nagkaroon din ng chance to fix it privately, naisip ko lang, it’s just a thought na baka naging supportive pa si Ate Jen sa pag-launch sa Korea."
Ang tinutukoy rito ni Bea ay ang anak ni Patrick na si Michelle Garcia, 13, na kasalukuyang nagte-train para maging K-pop idol.
Si Michelle ang sinasabing dahilan ni Patrick kung bakit nagdesisyon siyang ilahad ang kanyang panig sa masalimuot na breakup nila ni Jennylyn noong 2008.
May mga netizen daw kasing inuungkat ang nakaraan nina Patrick at Jennylyn sa social media posts tungkol kay Michelle, kahit wala pa siya sa mundo nang mangyari yon.
Pagpapatuloy ni Bea: “And I feel like siguro mas okay na kung na-settle siya privately and then saka nagsalita, saka nagsabi na, ‘We’re okay now.’”
