Nagluluksa ang Simbahang Katoliko Romano dahil sa malagim na pagpanaw ni Fr. Patricio Alfredo Sanchez Molinari, 53, ng Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro Church sa Guayaquil, Guayas, Ecuador.
Binawian ng buhay si Fr. Molinari noong Sabado, Oktubre 17, 2026, habang nagmimisa.
Nabagsakan siya ng malaking krus na gawa sa kahoy na nakalagay sa sentro ng altar ng simbahan.
Naka-livestream ang misa sa social media kaya kitang-kita at marami ang nakapanood sa nakapanghihilakbot na pangyayari.
Maririnig din sa video ang malakas na sigaw at paghingi ng saklolo ng mga dumalo sa misa.
Naganap ang trahedya isang araw matapos ipagdiwang ni Fr. Molinari ang anibersaryo ng kanyang ordinasyon bilang pari.
Hindi rin malilimutan ng mga saksi ang homily ni Fr. Molinari bago ito nabagsakan ng krus.
Sinabi niya sa isinalin sa Ingles na salitang Espanyol: “One day, all of us here are also going to die, and sometimes, the time we have spent on things does not have as much meaning as the time we spend with God.”

ANNOUNCEMENT OF FR. MOLINARI'S PASSING
Ang Archdiocese of Guayaquil ang nag-anunsiyo ng pagpanaw ni Fr. Molinari.
Nakasaad dito: “We announce that our dear Fr. Patricio Alfredo Sánchez Molinari, CSsR., who was serving as the parish priest of the Perpetuo Socorro Church in the Vicaria Centro, has passed away and is now at the House of the Father to enjoy His presence and His glory.
“Grant him eternal rest, Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.”
Naglabas din ng pahayag ang Parish of San Lorenzo de Vinces na pinaglingkuran ni Fr. Molinari bilang alagad ng simbahan.
Anila: “With hope in God's love and mercy, we share the news of the passing of Father Patricio Sánchez Molinari C.Ss.R., who, with dedication and pastoral love, served for many years as the pastor of our Vinceña community.
“As a Redemptorist family, we join in prayer for the eternal rest of his soul and ask the Lord for comfort for his family, his fellow priests, and all the faithful who remember his legacy with gratitude.
"May he rest in the peace of the Lord."
