Jonas Gaffud, itinangging may kinalaman ang DOT sa mga proyekto niya

Itinanggi ng talent manager at beauty-queen maker na si Jonas Gaffud na magaganap sa Pilipinas sa November 2018 ang 67th edition ng Miss Universe.


Ayon kay Gaffud, walang pirmahan ng kontrata na naganap sa pagitan ng Miss Universe Organization at ng Department of Tourism (DOT) sa recent visit sa Pilipinas ni Paula Shugart, ang president ng Miss Universe Organization.

Rebelasyon ang pahayag ni Gaffud na walang kinalaman ang DOT sa mga past and present project niya.

"I never had any project with DOT… never. Ayaw kasi namin gamitin ni Kat [De Castro, former DOT assistant secretary] ang pagiging magkaibigan namin.

"Yung sa Miss Universe 2016, ang role ko noon is under former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson, not DOT.

"I was the head of events. Ako ang nag-create ng lahat ng events na mandated by Miss Universe Organization.

"For me, ipinakita naman talaga ng DOT na talagang sila ang bida and kami, yung workers, behind the scene.

"Madami akong ipinu-post na projects ko with Kat, pero wala ni isa ang na-approve. Ni isa.

"And I’m happy na walang na-approve, kasi ngayon, they want to scrutinize everything… at least, I was not part of any project.

"Yung dalawang Miss Universe with IMG project last December and this May, Frontrow ‘yun.

"Hindi ako kasosyo sa Frontrow, supportive lang sila," paglilinaw ni Gaffud.
