Mahigit sa 80 ang official candidates ng 47th Miss Intercontinental at kabilang sa mga contestant ang twin sisters na sina Arjanita at Arvanita Peci.
Si Arvanita ang kandidata ng Albania samantalang si Arjanita ang official delegate ng Kosovo.
First time sa history ng isang international beauty pageant na kambal at hindi lamang basta magkapatid ang maglalaban para sa Miss Intercontinental 2018 title and crown.
Tuwang-tuwa ang Pinoy beauty pageant fans sa unique case nina Arvanita at Arjanita, na tanggap na tanggap nila.
Hindi kagaya ng poot na nararamdaman ng ilan sa congressional candidacy sa mid-term elections sa May 2019 ng mag-asawang Allan Peter Cayetano at Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, na hindi nga magkalaban para sa nasabing puwesto pero kapwa kandidato na house representative sa magkahiwalay na distrito ng Taguig City.
Palaisipan sa mga curious Filipino kung hindi nagsasama sa iisang bahay ang Cayetano couple kaya magkaiba ang mga distritong kinakatawan nila.
Anyway, sa pamamagitan ng short introduction sa sarili, ipinaliwanag ni Arjanita ang dahilan kaya pareho silang Miss Intercontinental contestants ng kanyang kakambal.
"My name is Arjanita Peci and I am 20 years old. I was born 1998 in Kosovo.
"In this year, my family have to left our country because of the war.
"At that time, I was only one month old. It was a hard year for my family, because we had to start from zero.
"Today we are living satisfied in Germany. I am working as a judicial clerk. I help people to fight for their rights. In my free time I like to read and to dance.
"Furthermore, I love to travel and to discover new cultures and countries. I am very happy and proud to be Miss Intercontinental Kosovo and to represent my country in Manila.
"It’s very special for me because my twin sister will also take part at Miss Intercontinental.
"She is Miss Intercontinental Albania.
"Everything started when my brother registered me and my twin sister Arvanita at the first Miss Election in our home city. Now we are very happy for his great idea and so we look forward to what is coming."
At dahil magkakambal, pareho ang paliwanag ni Arjanita sa kuwento ng kanyang twin sister, si Miss Intercontinental Albania Arvanita Peci, tungkol sa pagsali nila sa 47th edition ng Miss Intercontinental.
"My name is Arvanita and I am 20 years old. I was born in Kosovo and now I am living in Germany. Currently, I work as a banker.
"On my day off I like to dance and to swim. Besides I also love to travel and to see other places of the world.
"My brother was the person who registered me for the first Miss Election, so everything started in my home city.
"Now it is a great honor for me to represent my country Albania at Miss Intercontinental because I am very proud to be Albanian.
"Moreover it is very special for me because my twin sister is also one of the contestants in Manila. She will represent Kosovo.
"So I am really happy and excited to meet all the beautiful girls and to make such an amazing experience in my life."
