Ipinalabas sa Wowowin kahapon, January 29, ang birthday presentation ni Willie Revillame.
Isinilang siya noong January 27, 1961. Fifty-eight years old na ngayon si Willie.
Nakalagay sa screen ang mga salita na "Episode Taped 01/22," na nangangahulugang pre-recorded ang episode bago pa naganap ang aksidente sa studio ng Wowowin.
Imbes na siya ang bigyan ng regalo, si Willie ang nagbigay ng apat na motorsiklo at 25 television sets bilang pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga tumatangkilik sa top-rating game show niya sa GMA-7.
Isang house and lot, na donasyon ng real estate company ni former Senate President Manny Villar, ang grand prize sa birthday raffle ni Willie.
Personal itong ipinagkaloob ni Senator Cynthia Villar sa lucky winner na si Evangeline Mesa ng Arayat, Pampanga.
Nasorpresa ang Wowowin audience dahil hindi sinabi ni Willie na house and lot ang matatanggap na premyo ng pangalan na mabubunot.
Tinawag muna ni Willie ang pangalan ng winner bago niya sinabi na house and lot ang premyo.
Postscript: Ang birthday presentation ni Willie ang unang episode na kinunan noong January 22, 2019.
Sa taping ng second episode ng araw na yun, hindi na napanood si Willie dahil sa aksidente na nangyari.
Pinuntahan niya nang personal sa ospital na pinagdalhan ang mga biktima na nahulog mula sa audience gallery.
Hindi nagkulang ang WBR Entertainment ni Willie at ang GMA-7 management sa pagtulong sa dalawang biktima ng hindi inaasahang pangyayari, tulad ng nakasaad sa joint statement na inilabas nila noong January 23, 2019:
"During the Wowowin taping on Tuesday, 22 January 2019 on or about 5:25 in the afternoon, an unfortunate accident transpired during the opening number of the show. One member from the studio audience was injured, while another lost her life.
"The person injured was identified as Milagros Espiritu, while the audience member who passed away is Estrella Bognot.
"According to the statement of Security Marshal Roel Batang who witnessed the accident, the two audience, who were at the bleachers of the studio, lost their balance while singing and dancing during the opening act.
"On account of the accident, Ms. Espiritu suffered a fracture, while the head of Ms. Bognot hit a fire extinguisher.
"They were immediately attended to by the in-house paramedic of WBR Entertainment and rushed to nearby Delgado Hospital.
"WBR Entertainment and GMA Network deeply commiserate with, and extended immediate assistance to, the families and loved ones of the victims."
Meanwhile, binati kahapon si Willie ng happy birthday nina Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, at ng ibang mga host ng It’s Showtime ng ABS-CBN.
Ang It’s Showtime ang ipinalit ng Kapamilya management sa Wowowee nang magdesisyon si Willie na lumipat sa TV5 noong 2011.
