Rolly, pinakamalakas na bagyo sa mundo ngayong 2020

Itinaas na ang public storm warning signal sa maraming lugar, kasama na ang Metro Manila, dahil sa inaasahang pananalasa ng bagyong Rolly.

Hindi nagkulang sa paalaala ang PAGASA at ang National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) na mag-ingat at maging handa ang lahat sa pagdating sa Pilipinas ni Typhoon Rolly.

Si Rolly, na may international name na Goni, ang itinuturing na pinakamalakas na bagyo sa buong mundo sa taong 2020.

Simula ngayong gabi, October 31, mararamdaman na ang bagsik ni Typhoon Rolly sa Bicol region kaya nakataas na ang Signal Number 3 sa Catanduanes, Eastern portion ng Camarines Sur, at Albay.

Sinabi ni GMA-7 resident meteorologist Nathaniel "Mang Tani" Cruz na huwag maging kampante ang mga Pilipino dahil sa malakas na hangin at ulan na dala ni Typhoon Rolly.

May kakayahan itong sumira ng mga bahay, magpabuwal ng mga puno, at manalanta ng agricultural crops.

Itinaas ngayong gabi ang Signal Number 2 sa Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Quezon at Polillo Islands, Camarines Nortes, Sorsogon, Masbate, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Lubang Island, Burias Island, Northern Samar, Northern portion ng Samar, at Northern portion ng Eastern Samar.

FLIGHTS CANCELLED

Isasara bukas, November 1, hanggang sa Lunes, November 2, ang Ninoy Aquino International Airport dahil sa nagbabadyang panganib na hatid ni Typhoon Rolly kaya pinapayuhan ang mga pasaherong huwag nang pumunta sa airport dahil kanselado ang mga biyahe.

Hindi na rin bibiyahe ang mga barko dahil sinuspinde ito ng Philippine Coast Guard.

Ang manatili sa tahanan ang payo ng Department of Transportation na nagpaalalala sa mga dapat asahan at gawin sa panahon ng kalamidad:

Expect Power Outages

1. Charge all gadget, cellphones, tablet, laptops and other gadgets for communication.

2. Use them wisely. Avoid unnecessary calls. Use SMS. Expect weak or no signal as cell sites may be down.

3. Replace batteries on your flashlights and make sure to keep a spare for prolonged brown outs.

4. Your AM/FM battery-operated radios may be your best source for news.

5. Relieve your refrigerators and freezers as power may be off for a few days.You have now until Sunday evening to do it. Consume food items that spoil easily.

6. Have your LPGs ready and refill your spare tanks.

7. Have an adequate supply of drinking water and fill pails for your bathroom use.

Preparing for Destructive Winds

1. Dismantle all temporary structures.

2.Keep safe all items outside the house specially in your dirty kitchens.

3.Empty your sampayans.

4. Reinforce your plants.

5.Secure all unstable items in your open garage and garden.

6.If needed, reinforce unsteady roofing like polycarbonate by placing hollow blocks or sand bags on top.

MALLS OPEN FOR STRANDED COMMUTERS

Naglabas naman ng public advisory ang management ng ilang Metro Manila malls na bukas sila para sa mga kababayan nating stranded at maaapektuhan ng malakas na bagyo.

Ang "Oratio Imperata for Deliverance from Calamities" ang ibinahagi ng ABS-CBN dahil ang taimtim na pagdarasal sa Diyos ang pinakamahalaga para sa kaligtasan ng lahat.
