Children aged five and above can go outdoors in areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) and Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
This was announced by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Friday, July 9, 2021.
The policy however excludes areas under GCQ "with heightened restrictions," namely, Laguna and Cavite.
Children aged five and above can go to the following places as long as they are accompanied by adults:
- Parks
- Playgrounds
- Beaches
- Biking and Hiking Trails
- Outdoor Tourist Sites
- Outdoor Non-Contact Sports Courts and Venues
- Al-fresco Dining Establishments
Malls remain off-limits to children.
Roque reiterated that minimum health standards should be observed outdoors such as the wearing of face masks and social distancing.
