Public school teachers will get a PHP1,000 incentive from the national government to thank them for continuing to work despite the challenges of the pandemic, the Department of Education said Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
Around 900,000 public school educators will receive the World Teachers' Day Incentive Benefit for 2021 as approved by President Rodrigo Duterte.
"We are grateful to our 900,000-strong teachers who have displayed their unwavering passion to serve and educate the Filipino youth," DepEd said in a statement.
The department will soon issue guidelines on how to claim the benefit.
