Pansamantalang isinara ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang ilan sa consular offices (CO) and temporary off-site passport services (TOPS) sites nito dahil sa mabilis na pagtaas ng bilang ng mga empleyado na tinatamaan ng COVID-19.
Sa inilabas ng public advisory ngayong January 10, 2022, sinabi ng DFA na ang COs nito sa La Union, National Capital Region (NCR) East, NCR North, at TOPS Robinsons Novaliches ay sarado simula January 10 hanggang January 20.
“During the temporary suspension of operations, no passport or Apostille applications will be processed or released. Operations shall resume on 21 January 2022,” ayon sa inilabas na advisory.
Sarado rin mula January 10 hanggang 20 ang DFA OCA sa Aseana Business Park sa Parañaque City, ang COs sa NCR Central, NCR Northeast, NCR South, NCR West, Antipolo, Angeles, Baguio, Dasmariñas, Iloilo, Lucena, Malolos, San Pablo, at TOPS sa Newport Mall, Robinsons Las Piñas, Robinsons San Pedro Laguna, at SM Manila.
Ang mga may passport appointments sa mga nabanggit na petsa ay aabisuhan kung kailan ang kanilang bagong schedule sa pamamagitan ng e-mail.
Ayon advisory, “Please expect an email with further details about your appointment which will be sent to the email address you used when you booked your application."
Ang mga passport applicant na may iba pang mga katanungan o “validly urgent and emergency cases” ay maaaring mag-email o tumawag sa CO, TOPS, o OCA kung saan pinoproseso ang kanilang passport, o sa mga numero na nasa official website ng DFA.
