High-tech! Identity ng PhilID cardholder, puwede nang ma-verify through QR code

Sa pamamagitan ng PhilSys Check QR Code, mabilis na ang verification sa pagkakakilanlan o identity ng registered national ID cardholders, habang inililipat ang kanilang personal data sa systems ng mga bangko, nang hindi na kailangan ang manual encoding.

Maaari na ngayong i-verify ng mga bangko at iba pang establisyemento ang PhilSys national ID (PhilID) gamit ang QR code system na inilunsad ng pamahalaan noong April 8, 2022.

Labintatlong bangko ang lumahok sa pilot test run ng PhilSys Check QR Code.

Ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), sa pamamagitan ng PhilSys Check QR Code, mabilis na ang verification ng pagkakakilanlan o identity ng registered national ID cardholders, habang inililipat ang kanilang personal data sa systems ng mga bangko, nang hindi na kailangan ang manual encoding.

How to use the PhilSys Check QR Code app

Naririto ang mga hakbang para ma-verify ang inyong PhilID:

  1. Click on "SCAN QR CODE".
  2. A message will prompt to ask your permission to allow access to your device's camera.
  3. Point the camera to the QR code and scan.
  4. If verification is successful, the following information will be shown:

Message "PhilSys QR code SUCCESSFULLY VERIFIED"

Last Name:

First Name:

Middle Name:

Suffix:

Sex:

Date of Birth:

Place of Birth:

PhilSys Card Number(PCN):

Date of Issuance:

  1. If the PhilSys QR code is revoked or inactive, or the QR code is unrecognizable, the message "PhilSys QR code has been REVOKED or is INACTIVE" or “PhilSys QR Code NOT RECOGNIZED" will be shown.

Pahayag ni Assistant National Statistician Fred Sollesta sa ginanap na paglulunsad ng system, "We piloted PQRCVS [PhilID QR Code Verification system] in November 2021, and we are grateful to the 13 financial institutions that answered our call for pilot testing."

Dagdag pa niya, "Through the pilot testing, we made changes to the system to better serve its purpose.

“With more Filipinos receiving their PhilIDs, we work together to make government and private services more accessible for our constituents."

Iniulat din ni Sollesta na nasa 9.1 million PhilIDs na ang nai-deliver hanggang noong March.

Target ng PSA na makapag-deliver ng karagdagdan pang 31.3 million PhilIDs hanggang sa katapusan ng 2022.

Ayon naman kay Assistant National Statistician Rene Mendoza, nasa 62 million PhilIDs ang kailangang iproseso ngayong taon.

Nagde-develop na rin ng mobile application para mailagay doon ng ID holders ang kanilang details.

Nauna na itong naipanukala na pansamantalang gagamitin habang ang actual cards ay iniimprenta pa.

Isa pa aniyang proposal ay i-download ang digital version ng ID.

"That one will hopefully solve most of our problems. People will no longer be dependent on physical IDs. But for downloadable credentials, we are still reviewing this. There are some security concerns and data privacy concerns. That is why we have not yet announced that," paglilinaw ni Mendoza.
