SM Supermalls reacts to misleading info about folded PHP1,000

Mag-ingat sa mga misleading posts sa social media.

Bahagi ito ng paalala ng SM Supermalls sa inilabas nitong official statement kaugnay ng kumalat na impormasyong tinanggihan umano sa naturang mall ang tinuping bagong PHP1,000 bill bilang pambayad.

May kumalat kasing post sa social media na hindi kinikilala sa retail stores ng mall ang folded PHP1,000 new banknote.

Ang bagong PHP1,000 polymer bill ay nagtataglay ng larawan ng Philippine eagle.

Ayon sa statement ng SM (published as is): “In response to the information circulating on social media regarding the new Ps1000 bill, we would like to assure the public that folded bank notes are still accepted in our SM Retail Stores.

“Only those that are mutilated - stapled and ripped caused by removal of staple wire - will be deemed unfit and not accepted.

“Our policy has considered the guidelines set by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
