Ilang flight passengers ang nag-post sa social media dahil sa delay ng paglipad ng kanilang sinasakyang eroplano ngayong Lunes, Mayo 20, 2024.

Yun pala, may "technical issues."

Ayon sa abiso ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), mayroong “potential problem with the software of ATM Center [Air Traffic Management Center]."

Nakasaad pa sa advisory, “To ensure safety of the flying public, CAAP decided to be conservative and manage the operations by providing longer separation of departing flights.”

CEBU PACific RELEASES STATEMENT

Inilabas ng Cebu Pacific ang advisory nito dakong 1:30 p.m. ng hapon ngayong Lunes via Facebook post.

Parte ng pahayag ng Cebu Pacific, "Cebu Pacific (CEB) advises its passengers that flights departing and arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) may experience delays due to issues related to the software at the Air Traffic Management Center (ATMC) which are affecting operations.

“CEB is coordinating with the necessary authorities on when the situation will normalize. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.”

PAL POSTS STATEMENT

Halos ganoon din ang pahayag ng PAL: may mga flight na made-delay o maka-cancel ngayong Lunes dahil sa “technical issues.”

Sabi sa Facebook post nito: “A number of flights of PAL will need to be delayed or cancelled today, May 20, 2024, as a result of technical issues with the radar system for the Manila area which is affecting departures and arrivals of scheduled flights.

“We are closely coordinating with the aviation authorities on the adjustment of flight schedules and clearances, as the authorities are working expeditiously to resolve this temporary problem.

“We will take all necessary steps to restore normal schedules as soon as possible.”
