Ibinalita ito ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO) ngayong June 19, 2024.

Ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ng PCO (published as is), “At 2:21 pm today, 19 June 2024, Vice President Sara Z. Duterte, went to Malacañang and tendered her resignation as Member of the Cabinet, Secretary of the Department of Education, and Vice Chairperson of the NTF-ELCAC, effective 19 July 2024.
“She declined to give a reason why.
"She will continue to serve as Vice President.
“We thank her for her service.”
Ang NTF-ELCAC ay tumutukoy sa National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, na nagmamatyag sa "communist rebellion" at red tagging.
In-appoint si Sara bilang vice-chairperson ni Security Adviser Eduardo Año noong May 2023.
Samantala, nagsimula naman siyang manungkulan bilang DepEd secretary noong June 30, 2022.
Matatandaang naging running mate si Sara ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. noong 2022 presidential elections sa ilalim ng UniTeam Alliance ticket.
