Ayala Malls cinemas bring scare to August this Ghost Month

The theater chain moves its Thrill Fest from November to August.

It’s time to be scared this August, with the annual Thrill Fest from Ayala Malls Cinemas (AMC).

In the line-up are four classic Hollywood movies that are sure to make you scream in the theaters.

The four films include: the horror-comedy Gremlins (1984), the iconic slasher A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), the disaster epic The Towering Inferno (1974), and the gothic drama Interview with the Vampire (1994).

You might be wondering, why August and not November?

AMC wants the yearly scare theater to coincide with the Ghost Month, a Filipino-Chinese tradition that usually falls in August of every year.

It also wishes to introduce old movies to young movie fans, and bridging the gap between generations.

In fact, the newest film in the line-up—Interview with the Vampire—is 30 years old.
