Opisyal nang inilunsad ng Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) noong February 12, 2025, ang 20th GSIS National Art Competition katuwang ang Art Association of the Philippines.
Ito na ang ikalawang dekada ng pagtataguyod ng GSIS sa talento ng mga Filipino artists at pagpapanatili ng cultural identity ng Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng taunang art competition.

Ayon sa pahayag ng ahensya sa official website nito: “The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is inviting all Filipino artists [award winning artists, senior artists, student artists, art professors, hobbyists, members of art groups] to join the 2025 GSIS National Art Competition, which is now on its 20th year.
“Starting February 10, 2025, official entry forms can be obtained from the GSIS website.”
Mahigpit na paalala ng ahensiya, “To ensure eligibility, all potential participants should thoroughly review the competition’s guidelines, rules, and regulations to avoid disqualification.”

CATEGORIES, AND WHO CAN JOIN THE GSIS ART CONTEST
Ayon kay GSIS President and General Manager Arnulfo Veloso, ang annual art competition ay sumasalamin sa commitment ng ahensiya na isulong ang Philippine arts and culture.
"Beyond artistic innovation, the competition highlights the stories, aspirations, and heritage that define our national identity,” ani Veloso.
“Supporting Filipino artists is not just an initiative—it’s a commitment to nation-building through the arts.”
Ngayong taon, tampok ang dalawang categories—representational (traditional painting) and non-representational (abstract).
Ang artworks ay kailangang nasa horizontal o landscape orientation.

Maaaring lumahok ang mga artists—baguhan man o propesyunal—na edad 18 pataas.
Open theme ang contest kaya may kalayaan ang mga kalahok na maipahayag ang kanilang sining na nagpapakita ng kanilang unique vision.
Tatanggapin ang physical entries sa GSIS Gymnasium sa Pasay City sa April 26, 2025.
Ipakikilala ang mga finalists sa May 9, 2025.
Iaanunsiyo ang mga magwawagi sa June 6, 2025.
Ang mga mapipiling artworks ay magiging bahagi ng GSIS art collection sa Museo ng Sining sa Pasay City.

GSIS OFFERS GENEROUS PRIZES FOR MAJOR WINNERS, FINALISTS
Ang bawat artist ay maaari lang magsumite ng isang artwork.
May sukat dapat ito na 3 ft. by 4 ft. at hindi pa kasama rito ang frame.
Hindi naman dapat lumampas sa 10 kilos ang bigat, kasama na ang frame.
Pinapayagan lang ang artist na gumamit ng mga sumusunod na art media: oil on canvas, acrylic on canvas, at watercolor.
Kung watercolor ang medium, kailangang gumamit ng kahit anong watercolor paper—pero hindi puwede sa illustration board.

Naririto ang magiging premyo para sa dalawang categories:
- First prize-PHP600,000.00
- Second prize-PHP500,000.00
- Third prize-PHP400,000.00
May limang (5) honorable mentions na makakatanggap ng tig-PHP100,000.
Ang bawat finalists ay pagkakalooban ng tig-PHP15,000.
Lahat ng premyo ay may 20 percent tax, as per government regulation.
